Must be plenty of stock as not selling out as fast as I expected. The nations credit must be maxed out
The sad thing is that if AMD had something competitive remotely close to launching (7800XT), they could have just announced it yesterday to get some of the folks waiting for ages for an upgrade that now might buy a 4070. Buying a 6800 XT for the same price is not competitive because of the limited feature set and poorer efficiency.Nobody cares, as a customer who has been waiting for a new GPU around the £500-£600 price point, THIS AINT IT!, SHOCKINGLY POOR GPU, borrrring, move along....

Sure, as a tech savvy consumer, you might do that if that happens. However, most people would not bother going through that process. AMD's marketing is just incredibly stupid. This half-assed "you're stupid if you buy a 4070 because of VRAM" campaign was just sad.I mean there is a 14 day window to return, no questions asked if that does happen from now till then.
Exactly, I was eager to see a 7800xt come out, but as there is no whisper of it, I did get a 4070 there on the launch. Mega disappointed in AMD, but I get it, they may be focusing on higher profit areas of their business, but still could have done better here. The sad thing is that if AMD had something competitive remotely close to launching (7800XT), they could have just announced it yesterday to get some of the folks waiting for ages for an upgrade that now might buy a 4070. Unfortunately the vast majority of buyers are poorly informed on what is and is not a good buy, and/or have little to no self control & patience. If only that were true, the 4070 will likely be a very good seller for nVidia as they've manipulated the market to make it so.
I think quite a few will do just that. Let them gather dust on shelves mate, that's what they deserve, any "gamer" buying this to put in their PC has no clue, "fool and their money.." as the saying goes.As I say we have over 1000 of the MSRP lines.
Even the FE is still in stockthese certainly are not flying off the shelves. Still loads in stock everywhere.

Same. There is just nothing viable on the market:I think quite a few will do just that. I'd like something but not quite convinced with the current options
Absolutely, am upgrading from a 1070 to this, and despite the frustrating lack of vram, I was enticed by the performance per watt, as electricity prices keep going up.people with 10 / 20 series probably will upgrade to these
Got to say. Isn't it refreshing to still have RRP cards in stock everywhere over 30 minutes after launch?
Lovely stuff
because its 1fe card per gen per personWouldnt let me buy an FE for my second PC (already have 4090 fe) and the only non-fe I wanted is the Asus TUF. Which is £150 over MSRP!
Guess will keep my 3070 for another generation then.
