Have to wonder what could have been for NZ. Had they had 15 men for the whole game especially when SA got a yellow. They definitely missed a few chances to get ahead but played massively well in the second half. But SA defence was amazing with very few cracks.

Before the tournament began, the Northern hemisphere teams were quite cocky and confident that one of them would take the title and yet the final was an all southern affair

Some were, England were expected to go out in the group stage despite the draw. They only lost to SA by one point. Not a bad result for an average team . I'm saying that as an SA supporter in the final (the in-laws are from SA ).

England only lost to the World champs by one point, not too shabby. Australia in four years with a lot of new players is going to be interesting.

Will never understand how Cane gets a red but Kolisi didn’t. Made it a brilliant final though, thought the All Blacks were very good in the second half but also guilty of one too many handling errors. In a tight game it’s so bloody hard to beat the Boks.

England were clever to accumulate quick points. NZ might have been better doing similar but struggled to get a proper foothold to do that.

The card situation is getting a bit silly and definitely change the balance in game. I'm not sure many players would deliberately smash heads together. A high tackle or swinging arm fine but they need to rein it in a bit.
