I noticed there are not many 1080 cards left with only 13 brands now, the cheapest 1080 is now £499.99 for ASUS Turbo, the cheapest 1070 Ti is £419.99 for both Palit and Zotac so that is actually £80 less.

Official Nvidia MSRP for regular GTX 1070 is $349 (£315.83 inc VAT), regular GTX 1070 Ti MSRP is $379 (£343.26 inc VAT) that is $20 cheaper than Vega 56.

GTX 1070 and 1070 Ti UK prices should be cheaper with $1.32 exchange rate but increased due to miners or price gouged.

£60 or £80 who cares...if you have £420 to dump on year old tech then anyone can push to a 499 for a 1080

Depends how you look at it I would personally say it's actually less than the £60 difference.

Don't forget the 1080's come with destiny 2 a £45 game.

Also you are talking cheapest vs cheapest just on one this website on other sites the difference between the cheapest 1080 and 1070ti is not a lot.

Also if you compare other models on this site the same card in a 1080 is only £20 more than the 1070ti version and the 1080 comes with destiny 2.

LOL no, some people have budgets and a max limit not every one will just stump up the extra money, if that was case bottom end stuff would rarely sell if people could just stump up the extra

The difference in pricing between the 1070 and ti is too close....The difference in pricing between 1070ti and 1080 is too close.

1060 is priced mid range, 1070 is not...

If you can afford a 1070ti then you can afford a 1080

If you can just afford a 1060 @ £248.99 then things become clear

There must be price drops on the 1070 incoming.

Totally agree with this, there's people on a budget yes but when you're spending £400+ on just a card what's an extra £50 or so especially when you're getting a £40 game? I just feel the 1080 is the better value
 
My first thought is that the price and performance sits comfortably between the 1070 and 1080 exactly as expected. It just adds more options for people wanting to spend between £400 and £500. I don't see any mining benchmarks yet though and that'll be what determines what happens with demand for the 1070.
The fact that this price range has become the most crowded does set a worrying precedent...

Yeah a lot of cards fall into a similar performance bracket and can power similar resolutions. Once you add VVR monitors too mix it's gets even more confusing. It's just more of the same for a higher price.

Fingers crossed the miners will love this and the'll leave the 1070 and Vega cards alone.
