Russell Brand.

Yeah, basically this guys entire life revolves around Donald Trump, reacting to people based on their opinions of him. It's actually a mind virus.
Nothing wrong with setting the worth of someone's character when they downplay or support the awful behaviour of another, makes life delightfully easy.

According to the Dispatches episode, they still have the text messages. You never know what someone might keep after being nonchalantly swept to the side by a celebrity.

More and more people leave tracks and traces of places and people. If it was seventies or earlier meetings would be very hard to establish. This century, not so much.

It's almost like people hold on to things to use to their advantage down the line. No point in getting law involved until you can get really milk it.

Do you think your reaction to things is swayed a little by your own personal vendettas? I see your posts in SC and your passionate dislike for the likes of Trump, Tucker Carson, Elon Musk, roar etc.

Would you say that you would treat accusations against people equally until you see evidence or would you say you assume guilt in some people based on nothing but your own personal opinion of them.

I see you are very active in this thread. But let's see how you commented on schofield behaviour.

You only made a couple of posts in there but they had this kind of tone..

"Hmm sounds like the crisis management team aren't doing **** if everything is all over social media.

If there is one thing I've learned its that what you read on social media rarely bears any resemblance to the truth. Not saying he hasn't done everything that is claimed but I wouldn't be taking social media posts as evidence of anything."

" Where have I defended him? I only posted originally because it appeared to be a pile on when it seems to be pure speculation atm. The young guy hasn't said anything yet to my knowledge and its him that will be able to tell if he indeed was groomed or there was any kind of relationship while he was a minor or any relationship full stop.

Then there was some homophobic tropes being thrown in so I replied to them.

I couldn't give a damn about Schofield, I've never watched any of his shows, all I've ever seen are a couple of funny moments on social media when they are working with an Italian chef on their show. If he is guilty of grooming this kid then **** him. It does seem clear he has abused his position and so deserves to lose his job. However some poster are treating him like he's the same as the men who groomed and abused young girls in cities like Bradford. I've not seen any evidence of that yet."

Surely there's a bit of double standards here?

Those are a some pretty low quality individuals to be fair. Likely more than deserving of all they get.

That's the entertainment industry. If Brand didn't want to be ripped apart maybe he shouldn't have joined a viciously cliquey group of people who despise outsiders.

In the Vogue interview from 2013, speaking about their former relationship, Perry said: "I felt a lot of responsibility for it ending, but then I found out the real truth, which I can't necessarily disclose because I keep it locked in my safe for a rainy day."
Can expect Katy Perry to reveal all in her forthcoming autobiography!

The media frenzy around this becomes more distasteful by the day. Our press really are the worst. The DM dragging up Sean Lock quotes from beyond the grave is a new low. I can’t stand the guy (Brand), but the press are even worse at this point.

is there an outline of what he being accused of, looks like one of those again just to get him out of the limelight.

From the BBC the original allegations were:

What are the allegations?

Several women have made allegations against Brand as part of the investigation by the Sunday Times, the Times and Channel 4’s Dispatches:
  • One woman alleges that Brand raped her against a wall in his Los Angeles home. She was treated at a rape crisis centre on the same day. The Times says it has seen medical records to support this
  • A second woman alleges that Brand assaulted her in the UK when he was in his early 30s and she was 16 and still at school. She alleges he referred to her as "the child" during an emotionally abusive and controlling relationship
  • A third woman claims that Brand sexually assaulted her while she worked with him in Los Angeles, and that he threatened to take legal action if she told anyone else about her allegation
  • The fourth woman alleged being sexually assaulted by Brand and him being physically and emotionally abusive towards her

Also in the last couple of hours there is a new allegation:

Met Police confirms report of alleged sexual assault from 2003

We've just received an update from London's Metropolitan Police.
A spokesperson for the Met said:“We are aware of reporting by The Sunday Times and Channel 4's Dispatches about allegations of sexual offences.
“On Sunday, 17 September, the Met received a report of a sexual assault which was alleged to have taken place in Soho in central London in 2003. Officers are in contact with the woman and will be providing her with support.
“We first spoke with The Sunday Times on Saturday, 16 September and have since made further approaches to The Sunday Times and Channel 4 to ensure that anyone who believes they have been the victim of a sexual offence is aware of how to report this to the police.
“We continue to encourage anyone who believes they may have been a victim of a sexual offence, no matter how long ago it was, to contact us.”
