Russian Grand Prix 2015, Sochi - Race 15/19

I do think part of racecraft though is predicting your opponents next move and accounting for it, in the past a collision between two cars was the responsiblity of both drivers, both drivers got a big fat DNF and then learned in the future that it's better to drive smarter and avoid collisions than to hug the racing line without a care in the world.

Kimi's a complete tool. Ridiculous move, lunging up the inside from way back yet doesn't seem to think he did anything wrong.

Took the third-placed runner completely out of it on the last lap. At the very least he needs a time penalty sufficient to ensure he gets no points himself as that's only just and probably a grid-place penalty for the next race as additional punishment.

Get this muppet out of F1 and give his car to someone who actually deserves it.

Thing is if Bottas saw him didn't cut to the apex went wide and Kimi got ahead everyone would hail a brilliant overtake. He left the gap open didn't check where Kimi was and cut to the apex expecting no one to be there. Every time a driver expects no one to be there we see an accident. I mean how long ago was it Hulk left a gap then cut across the inside and was punished. Driver assuming no one is coming up the inside is bad driving for me. It may have been Kimi's fault but that doesn't mean Bottas couldn't have avoided it easily.

Total rubbish. Bottas did nothing wrong and drove the correct racing line as Kimi was nowhere near close enough to pose a credible threat. You shouldn't be required to drive defensively at every corner on the off-chance the guy behind you makes some desperate lunge at the last second.

Everyone in the pitlane knows full well it was an idiot move by Kimi.

Except, as events showed, Kimi was.

Lol, you don't give up do you? Any moron can throw it up the inside like a lunatic at the last second which is exactly what Kimi did.

As I said, the whole pitlane knows it was an idiotic move and totally Kimi's fault. Let's wait until the stewards also agree shall we and then maybe you'll realise you're wrong? :p

Need to catch this up. So Hamilton nearly has the WDC now? Quite a lead.

Yup.

He has 66 points on Vettel and 73 on Rosberg, with 100 points left to get.

If he wins CotA and Vettel gets second he'll need 3 more points to wrap up the WDC.

If he wins CotA and Rosberg comes second, he wins the WDC.

Man, Rosberg's voice hurts to hear...

Yeah, especially when asked if his championship is over. Blamed his team for basic things going wrong. He seems to have forgotten the nine other races that his team mate has beaten him.

Rosberg has been unlucky, especially after actually getting a good start this time around, but does anyone seriously think that Hamilton wasn't going to beat him?

Rosberg talks about bad luck, but you can't win a championship by hoping for luck. He's just not fast enough compared to Hamilton driving the same car. I'm sure Vettel, Alonso and a few others in that Mercedes would have the measure of Rosberg too.
