I know you were trying to make a point, but it's 37,000 in the grandstands and the BBC reports closer to 200,000 in total attendance from the balconies and hillsides*. Its status does justify it on the calendar, despite it not always being the most exhilarating race to watch.

It has been trading on its status for over two decades. Never mind not being exhilarating, it isn't a race at all. If it wasn't on the calendar now, it wouldn't be considered as a new race today.

LOL Ferrari get pole and DM starts 1000 word essays on why it's unfair :D Yet has lapped up Merc domiance from having a head start on the engines.....

He won't buy that. Apparently its not the same thing. Ferrari are the baddies. Plain and simple. They couldn't possibly have success without some form of cheating.

The anti-Ferrari paranoia on here and other forums (fora? Never sure of the plural) used to irritate me. Then it amused me to hang a lampshade on it (LOL FERRARI INTERNATIONAL ASSISTANCE LOL). Now it just amuses me full-stop.

That rubbish about 'but it wasn't in the spirit of the regulations!' will never cease to annoy no matter what the scenario is, though. If a rule is fuzzy, then it's the duty of a race team to exploit it. Otherwise, what are they even doing there??? :p What is the point in hiring top drawer people if they're just going to sit and say "well, that might go against this badly/incompletely worded rule so we won't do that"? NASCAR famously has a very restrictive rulebook that keeps having to be rewritten. It keeps having to be rewritten because very clever people spend an awful lot of time figuring out where it is fuzzy. And Formula One, the alleged pinnacle of motorsport, really should have people with the same mindset and those people should be applauded.

lol, Mclaren, so bad they can't complete a formation lap and ruin the race start. Mclaren/Honda are just a joke, penalty for Van, Alonso can't even start the race properly. Honda should be thrown out and someone should give Mclaren an engine, it's just a joke.

They only showed the replay once really, it looked like Grosjean came in from far back there, cut the corner and hit Palmer. IT was the contact on Palmer that caused his car to then turn right and hit Grosjean again. Want to see the overhead to see exactly where Grosjean came from if he was alongside and tried to brake or if he divebombed.
