Glad for Bottas, absolutely dire race. I presume Hamilton had a big gap after the pitstops due to bad timing with traffic and turned the engine way way down, saving it for another day. I hope Verstappen did that also after 4-5 laps because otherwise that gap was ridiculously big ridiculously early.

They need to fix fuel for these races. I think they tied cooling down because ultimately they had to save a lot of fuel here so no one was really expecting to push. We need not a set fuel limit, but fuel specific to a track. With a say 75% time on throttle track getting 115kg, and a 50% time on throttle track getting 95kg, etc. Force them to take all the fuel because it will ensure people push hard through every lap and as such they can't do stupid things like cut cooling too tight because they'll be pushing.

This race turned into a saving the engine race maybe 2 laps after the safety car, in large part because everyone designed their strategy and cooling to the speed they expected when saving fuel to finish this race.

Great start by Bottas secured the race, it was a really nice start too. So weird seeing a Merc blindingly good off the start and Ferrari's looking a bit slow. For years Ferrari have had killer starts while most other teams lagged behind them in that regard.
