Rust - multiplayer survival from the creator of Garry's Mod

Been playing a couple of weeks with a group of 10 or so.

Was really fun, despite the constant downtimes of UK official severs.

Then came the non stop DDOS which sucked.

However we stuck it out, only to now deal with the huge amount of hackers and dupers. Had a huge compound completely C4'd, literally every wall, furnace, box, door etc. must have taken them about 300 C4 in total. Between that and the insta gib melee speed hacks, aimbot headshots and noclip official servers are impossible to play on now.

The 20x20x50 Metal towers everywhere should have been a warning I guess.

We have a community server but enjoyed the population of the UK3 / UK4 servers. I guess we are forced to wait for hackers to get banned or move away from official servers and risk playing with abusive admins instead!

Aside from the downtime and now insane amount of hacking/duping it's a fun game.
 
Been where you are now Jestahr. The official servers aren't actively moderated at all, that became clear pretty quickly. Your best bet is to find a decent non-official.
 
wel i thought i had enough doors guess not all my stuff has magically vanished gettin harder to build it it seem for me anyway...will.percivere tho

Down at the south of the island, near the factory with large smoke stack..

Just wondering, as a few of us logged out, logged in half an hour later and it was there.. Two guys, who I am guessing raided and replaced the doors on a few buildings.

Although, I do know they got there house raided and everything taken back :)
 
Someone yesterday was complaining that a "hacker" took down 15 metal doors in his house.. same guy? Of course he had just been raided.

I don't venture much to the south TBH so haven't seen it, but there are new places popping up all the time now. Its getting quite active :)

That was him, Richie and I think it was Andy took apart his doors :)
 
I may have had a part in it, but if someone just joins the server and immediately raids their closest neighbour without checking who it is, and steals all their stuff.. they have it coming.

Agreed, it was my first house, absolutely gutted to find the metal door when I spawned back in. Luckily I could jump out my window...

30 secs after I jumped out, a supply drop came in, got all three to myself. Loads of gear :)
