I was hoping that they was gonna put a option to disable head bob in the patch, I wanna play but the game makes me dizzy

Do we have an increase in hackers with PC games atm, seems nearly ALL online games are filled with cheaters now. I don't remember so many 2-3 years back. Maybe I was just naive
You were naive
If anything, there are fewer cheaters now than there were back in the days of Quake, Counterstrike etc (10-15 years ago?) because it's a bit harder to cheat in most more modern games. Depends on the game though, of course In games like lock-step RTS games (where the client has all the information they need about all units on the map) cheating is still pretty rampant.

I finally manned up and got this last night and had quite a lot of fun with it. No one spawn killed me and in my hour and a half of play I was only killed by a hacker once. Looking forward to getting back on it tonight!
not really an increase but less admins actually identifying and dealing with them as they are less obvious than the days of CS aimbots.
some companies in china make a living out of selling hacks on a website you have to subscribe to.
also you have to be very careful with games like this loads of servers have admins that spawn stuff in for themselves and their friends..........
more admins abusing spawning than there would be normal people duping.........

I'm a few hours into this now. Ended up getting it instead of DayZ since a friend said there was more to do in Rust at the moment.
I can see there is still a lot of fine tuning and changes to be made but the basics are there; and it is very much like Minecraft which made it less of a learning curve.
I chose a PvE server because I just couldn't be bothered with people constantly trying to kill me while I was still trying to learn how to light a fire or something.
The other players are actually pretty cool. They've set up a small village which they routinely seem to guide new players to where they teach them how to set up.
I can see there is still a lot of fine tuning and changes to be made but the basics are there; and it is very much like Minecraft which made it less of a learning curve.

I might give this a try whilst I figure out how to build stuff and dont get shot the instant I finally get some ham... I mean chicken. Which PvE server is it, think there are a couple.
Come and join mine and lolisms server if/when you get the game. its still low pop at the moment so its an ideal environment to learn the game. plus you can get established early on before the place gets overrun with naked men.

Rust IS really fun.
So much so that I've played ~100 hours since xmas.
I got bored with DayZ fairly quickly, I diddn't get on with the controls, the learning curve felt extremely steep, it seemed extremely difficult to get started out and I managed to get shot on sight by everyone I met ever.
The controls in rust feel a lot easier (think minecraft controls), the crafting is brilliant fun and it's fairly easy to get started. First thing to make is a stone hatchet, then kill and cook a pig so you don't starve to death. After that things get a LOT easier, so long as you avoid zombies/wolves/bears until you have a weapon (bow and arrow minimum really).
Low population servers are awesome to learn on, but if you get lonely a few of us play on (UK) Hunger Games. We're friendly unless you shoot first!
