Try uninstalling PlaysTV/Raptr and see if it happens again.
I was going to suggest that, but surely a rogue streaming application would kick the memory out of idle?

Same problem here I got my red devil one this morning and its flickering a bit but its at 100% load at desktop as well as yours.
Okies - I uninstalled that last night and have done lots of testing/playing/sleeping and so far since 8am to right now, the issue has not come back, so I can only assume that the PlaysTV/Raptr program was causing the issue. A big thank you to all for all the help in resolving this for me - hugs
Sorry to hear this - all I can suggest is trying the above, if you have it installed, as it *seemed* to be causing my issue. gl with getting it sorted - it might be worth starting your won thread, but I don't mind if you want to keep posting on this thread to keep ideas/monitoring programs in one place.
I restarted my pc since I was installing stuff and it evened out. The usage went up and down when I was on youtube. I think I've seen it in another thread that restarting is a temp fix.
Uninstall the Raptr software, if you've got it installed, and avoid Sleep like the plague.
Not sure why anyone would use Sleep unless you've still got a mechanical HDD.
We're investigating this one internally folks.
I haven't got Raptr installed, I'm not running GPU-Z for the time being and I very, very rarely use Steam, but it will still randomly start pulling 100% load for no reason.
What's wrong with sleep mode? It means my pc saves power when I'm not using it. Sometimes I'll get up to do other stuff and end up spending more time away from my pc than I thought. I wouldn't have shut it down as I don't always realise I'll get caught up in the other stuff![]()
