And looking at the prices it now seems like they're getting much closer to 1080Ti prices, £650 for the Vega 64 Strix (admittedly the 1080Ti Strix is a tad more than that) but there are 1080Tis for about £650.So now I guess we can put to bed AIB partners didn't want to touch Vega! Its take a long time though.

1080 Ti is almost 9 months old, you can find second hand 1080 Ti for £550.
Makes a £650 V64 even more pointless.
Guess the £650 price tag ruins that hope.
Lol, yeah but make sure to use a credit card so you can claim the money back when it doesn't show up, because dirt cheap and expensive technical process aren't things that go hand in hand XD.no it wouldn't you can buy the stuff dirt cheap from alibaba
I have no idea how they manufactured that graph but I can tell you it's nonsense as thye show it using less power than the reference V64, which I can attest uses roughly the same power as an aftermarket GTX980ti (as other reviews show too).Damn look at that power draw, its more than 2 x 1080s in SLI.
Indeed, AIB partners probably saw the mining demand for V56 cards and decided they wanted some of that action XDVega AIB cards are pointless at the prices throwing about for them.

No I think you misread, I was talking about the technical process of machining a piece of copper <25x10mm and <0.004mm thick, all to solve a nonexistent problem.Oh, that expensive technical process that missed that the GPU package components are not on the same level and won't mate with the heatsink without a better interface solution, that expensive technical process
Well probably not as the issue apparently only affected the prototype cards not the production models. GN even said that Powercolor had fixed the issue on the production models and included a teardown pic of one of them.If GN hadn't done his teardown, would have this ever been discovered
I'm sure you mean they fixed the issue when it was brought to their attentionNo I think you misread, I was talking about the technical process of machining a piece of copper <25x10mm and <0.004mm thick, all to solve a nonexistent problem.

Your £400 deal for the Limited Edition card wasn't too bad then, plus the bonus that it doesn't look completely dog****
FFS sort your reference designs out AMD, they're beyond crap.
