RX Vega With Kraken G10 AIO Mod

Dont forget you need RAM heatsinks and also one for the VRM's. The fan does not cool them sufficiently especially of you want to overlock. Its very easy to make your own VRM heatsink from a larger one you can buy then saw it to shape, eg off the jungle, and then just use Akasa thermal tape to attach them.

Just shows you sometimes how inadequate the custom cooling is when you put one of these on. EVGA and Zotac seem to have the worst coolers in my experience when I've compared before and after.

The results you see afterwards are reward for the effort.

So true, its the second Asus Rog AMD card I have, both had very crappy coolers, the difference is about 35 degrees in load for GPU, 40 for Hotspot, 35 for VRM. And at +300 watts the Asus cooler could not even handle it, now with 330 watt its a breeze, not that so much is needed, at around 250 watts is my sweetspot :) And sooo much quieter, and this with just a 90mm AIO

Kraken g12,Mod vega 56 hybrid,radiator 120mm,

it is not very difficult you have to enlarge some holes and improvise grip,My vrm mem temperatures are 40c without doing anything, I think it's a bit high, it does not have a heatsink, I do not think it changes much,Gpu temerature hot spot It shoots at 90-107 degrees ,I also did it with the reference cooler, I do not know what the problem is, if somebody can help me and also how to lower the temperature of vrm mem

Very nice job!

Apologies for "holy thread revival batman" situation,

Been looking at new cards for the last month and remembered I have a brand new G12 and I am about to swap out my H80i GT from my system for a new CPU cooler which i think am correct in saying is an Asetek mounting configuration.

The VEGA is a great card if not a bit hot, this is a really tempting option for me right now. It seems that I have a decent 56 card here as flashed with the 64 and with fans on 747 take off mode I can run stable benchmarks at ~1650/1100mhz (1700mhz set as P7 state)

As it looks like I'll be sticking with an AIO hanging out the side of my 011 dynamic XL for the foreseerable future, thought I'd post a pic. Its not pretty but its got a nice glowy heatpipe on the new Rocket 4.0 nvme + (raid10 14TB drives), backed up to the other elements under the fan.
