and... wtf - Asrock flagship boards on the 26th? Asus got a launch day deal?! wtf?
Seems AMD should be supporting the other way considering which OEMs signed up to GPP.
Looks like Asrock have the Fatal1ty boards for launch but missed the boat on the Taichi!
If AMD get bought out by Oracle, then the next update will probably be called something like Ryzen 14 for a minor update.

Ahhh. I usually keep a cpu for about 4 years.
Already scheming to sell off the 1700 and upgrade.
Must not. I can't upgrade every year!
No PC game anytime soon is gonna bring a 1700 @ 3.8Ghz to it's knees.
I should at least wait untill next year.

it's memory I've used so much and trust to work it'll take silly voltages without flinching if I want to try stuff out.
My 32gb of Avexir 3200mhz ram that I bought here for my TR build for 229gbp that turned out to be Samsung b-die is looking to be a bit of a bargain!
it's AMD's 2600, 2600X, 2700, 2700X chips... it's Ryzen 2. Zen+, but Ryzen 2. Zen 2 will probably have a different name.

Also to achieve the max potential of the chips your gonna need a X470 board.
I'm coming from the below so... a decent enough move. 2700X pre-ordered. Probably... 70% for gaming but... it's with the... I think realistic though that apart from about 10% single thread performance, it soundly whups the likes of the 8700k every other way ( ). Big card upgrade later in the year and I'm probably set for a good while before I mess with anything again (depends how incremental Zen 2/Ryzen 3 is).
