Ryzen "2" ?

Should anyone not want RGB RAM but something more subtle, and low profile, I just had 6 sets of Corsair LPX 3600MHz C18, in 2x8GB kits delivered today, I tested them all they are all B-die :o (Not from here).

And stop whining about prices. Iw paid almost 80 pounds for 512KB for my amiga 500 20 years ago !!!!

But he said he wants RGB for whatever reason. I'd pay extra for performance not some useless crap taht can get XMP profile corrupted and you have to RMA memory LOL

TOTALLY WORTH IT

Btw it still happens chap from our memory test squad was rewrighting hes SPD last month. Thanks for RGBBBBB

And I paid £80 for 16GB of DDR4 2 years ago. It's now literally double the price for the same thing. How on earth could you possibly not complain about that?

cause Iw paid 240 pounds for 16gb 2400mhz ddr4 for my 5820k when it came out ?? So now It's cheaper for faster than my first DDR4 kit init ??

Or last year Iw paid 230 pounds for my courent kit that is WORSE than that Gskill 3200cl14.

So as I see It's CHEAPER than what I actually Paid myself TWICE

But hey I'm on 5th ddr4 kit atm and 4 of them ware to get good B die for ryzen lost on that search around 50 quid.

And tahts why i say buy the freaking 3200cl14 kit and save yourself trouble nerves system hanging ect.

Lets ask @DoneADougalOnSofa what he thinks about paying extra for B die ram :D or few others here that went from Hynix to B die if 50 quid extra is worth it :)

Well uif someone wants he can wait to buy DDR4 till DDR5 cmes out then deffo DDR4 will be cheaper. Problem is that about 2 years :D

I paid like £600 for 4GB of fancy OCZ DDR2 10 years ago :s fortunately it wasn't compatible with my motherboards and I swapped it for some g.skills at 1/3rd the price :s today's RAM prices and availability are a bit meh though.

DAmn that beats my 512kb amiga upgrade hands down :(

I'm just realist no point of crying whining complaining. Prices are here to stay and thats that. Even if they come down 10% that's still 200 quid for good memory kit init ?? GPUS are 600+

Only cheap thing now is RGB strips i guess motherboards hdds psus keyboards mice monitors all not bad price.

Can wait for ddr4 prices to come down i know when that happens.... when ddr5 is out LOL

If you really think that, then you are ill informed. RAM and its market behaves very much like a commodity market for materials.

Presently pricing is high due to manufacturer collusion and manipulation, which is already under investigation by several governments. As soon as the wheels start turning faster, and the fines (even thought they are small) start getting handed out, the prices will drop rapidly.

16GB of DDR4 3000mhz cost £60 2 years ago and now costs £170. You cannot keep a straight face and tell people not to complain about pricing at the same time my friend.

Ram pricing is a joke but it is what it is. GPU's are also a joke these days. The price of PC's! :(

Its worth getting the best quality you can for Ryzen.

GPU's have dropped significantly over the last 6 weeks due to mining being less profitable. I agree that they are still far to far from MSRP in some cases, especially if you want AMD hardware, and the fact that the Nvidia Pascal based cards are still at MSRP or above is annoying but it's no where near as bad as the manufacturer RAM gouging.

It might not be worth getting the 'best' quality now, just get something that can do 2933MHz at C14, for about £130 for 16GB, then in 6-9 months* time buy the better stuff for £100, and get your free 5-10% performance boost, and you never know by then it might not be such a lottery.

* Pusre speculation on my behalf, it could be 12+ months, I make no guarantees. :D

Ok I enjoyed your video I'll give you that :D

However what you're actually saying is total nonsense. Yes, RAM in the olden days used to be expensive - no ****. It was new. It's an apples and oranges comparison.

Your remark about the price of everything increasing over the last few years - aye by a couple of percent. That's called inflation and it's necessary to balance the economy.

What we're talking about here is price fixing by over 200%.

I'll stick to complaining and you can stick to bending over and taking it dry if you want.
