Ryzen "2" ?

The problem with wccftech is the comments area, its it one of the worst parts of the internet you can come across.
Full of utter clueless idiots spamming each other with wildly useless drivel that must only make sense in there pitiful little brains.
 
I've stopped worrying about rumors, just buy what you can when it's released if not wait for the next release, my 3570k is dated now and really a 8700k would've been the best upgrade, however RAM pricing is nuts so a wait for Icelake is in order until late 2018 early 2019, if RAM pricing is still the same I'll just have to take it. It's like this you know it'll take at least a 12-18 months for something new to arrive so just buy on release or wait for the next thing IMO, or that nice price drop that normally hits after the product has been out for 6 months.
 
Guys don't get too worked up about it, clock for clock the MT score sure does look interesting but the single thread scores don't add up.

WCCFF's numbers also look suspect.

Ok so this makes no sense, my Ryzen 1600 @ 3.8Ghz Single threaded and 3.4Ghz Multithreaded.

Vs this apparent Ryzen 2600 at the same speeds.

Single-threaded @ 3.8Ghz

Ryzen 1600: 4354 (+2%)
Ryzen 2600: 4269

Multi-threaded @ 3.4Ghz

Ryzen 1600: 18564
Ryzen 2600: 20102 (+8.3%)

So according to this Ryzen two has 8% higher IPC in Multi threading but 2% lower IPC in singular threading.

If that is Ryzen two the only explanation i have for that is Boost is not working, it is in fact running at 3.4Ghz in single threading.

My Ryzen 1600 scored 4012 @ 3.4Ghz Single threading, so if Ryzen 2600 boost is not active in this then 4012 vs 4269 is a difference of 6.4%.

That looks to me that the new XFR 2.0 is keeping the cores at higher speeds when multithreaded compared to current gen Ryzen. Hence the increase in multi-threaded scores and no improvement in single threaded.

Assuming 0 IPC increase Ryzen 2600 would have to maintain 4Ghz on all cores to achieve 20100 points.

I can't even get to that score overclocking my 1600.
 
Intels damage defection routine with Meltdown really working, most folk think it affects every chip out there.. !

Because tech media in fear of upsetting Intel just print whatever PR Intel put out.

For anyone who doesn't already know Meltdown is a problem with Intel's CPU's, its not an "industry problem" as Intel constantly put it, its an Intel problem.
