Ryzen "2" ?

Hope after Bios updates and bios updated 8x4.3 will be a go.

That's not epic OC :/
Have only managed to bring the 8x cores up to 4.20 GHz with 1.4V

Wow, calm down lad.
Just the hype train that I've seen floating around these and other forums of 4.5ghz yada yada.

Other forums, so don't stand over people in this thread announcing your readiness to jump on them, do that in those other forums.

Memories do not end up going fine, at least for now
Little ability to overclock <---- expected this :(

I cannot understand how these morons keep getting chips first, there is something seriously wrong and still they relase "review".

Pretty sure you were one of them suggesting 4.5ghz tbh lol.

If they can hit 4.3 on all cores and/or do some fancy boost setting that will stretch AMD's lead pretty far.

They are all running on last gen BIOS, until there are Ryzen 2### BIOS in these 300 series boards or 400 series motherboards they should all be taken with a handfull of salt.

The only people who did testing on 400 series boards are CanardPC and they didn't publish those result reasoning the 400 series board were "cheating" whatever that means.

It's dodgy to releases stuff early. Even worse to then draw conclusions from tests.

Yeah, and that's the other thing, its how you can tell the difference between good tech journalists and those trying to stir emotions up to gain clicks, in which case its a good idea not to believe anything they say anyway.

as always people dont even read or know nothing and start flame LOL.

Guess they dont remember how bad it was for first 1-2 months when ryzen came out and hynix would not pass 2933 no matter what settings/kits lol.

I think looks goof for beta unfinished bios ect :)

Any official news on when AMD are going to release?

19'th.

That's inevitable on a brand new platform, Intel X99 had exactly the same issues with DDR4.

I'm not saying this launch will be perfect but its not a new platform anymore.

If Ryzen was locked to 2400Mhz I'd have still bought it.

Can't come soon enough.

X99 still has problems TBH. Even bigger problems now Intels chips are b0rked.

It was this very forum lol

@gavinh87

The Conversation in full.

So the Ryzen 7 2800X,possibly being a 4GHZ base clock and 4.4GHZ boost clock??
Around that, maybe 3.9 - 4.4.... looks like it.
If they can get to that level on the boost clockspeeds,thats actually a good increase in around a year!
Yup, it would be good :)

2700X = 3.9 to 4.35Ghz Boost... close enough.

Don't start with that ####.

A few guys in here seem hurt by the recent news of having **** poor overclocking abilities on the ryzen refresh.
I'll leave to avoid further upset :D
