As I said I am very happy with 3600 for the time being (I have an X570 auras pro and so can overclock a 16 core 4950x in the future).lol 'overpowered' - just switched to a 3700x and i like to do some video encoding. Tried that out on the 3700x for the first time last night and couldn't believe how fast it chewed through the encodeCurious how much faster the 3900x is in practice but very happy with the 3700x.
ps, and yes, i suspect video encoding software could make use of 24 threads is it? or certainly a lot of them. Video encoder was fully using all 8 threads (cpu at about 100%) on the 3700x.
I think all the Ryzen 3000 are fantastic. Even with the raised prices for the 3900x it’s still great and anyone who has got one now is set for many years.
