RYZEN 5000 SERIES NOW ONLINE - 5950X, 5900X, 5800X & 5600X COMING NOV 5TH AT 5PM **NO COMPETITORS**

At least we got to your definition of a paper launch ‘I didn’t get one on release day therefore it’s a paper launch’.

Please go and educate yourself on a global logistics instead of posting your fantasy reality on the internet.

Some of the conversation in this thread is the definition of first world problems. We’re literally in the middle of a global pandemic and your complaining about waiting a few weeks for a top of the line CPU which is frankly an utter luxury...

You stick to your drivel then, logistics or not AMD have no cpu's to ship or they would be doing so !!!!!!!!! paper launch it is. and as for luxury i don't call a CPU launch with no stock a luxury if your stuck in a pre order que. and from the title of this thread Ryzen 5000 series NOW online speaks for its self, Pictures of ryzen 5000 series online only.

Let's not forget they could fit more 5800x 5900x 5950x on a plane or ship if they actually cut the box down buy 3 quarters as they don't ship with coolers yet same pagaging. Not a very economic friendly move by amd there, maybe another indication launch was rushed using old shaped boxes??

The idea is that the larger boxes protect the CPU. Yes, you could ship more with smaller boxes, but there would be a higher likelihood of damage, which would result in fewer functioning units landing.

I understand that but they put there cpu at the side of the box lol, not in the middle

Haha yea, I find it idiotic that it's there but the other side is that the bigger box with the CPU at the front has more shelf appeal, not that these will see a shelf for month given demand.

I actually don't think they can produce enough units anyway, so the containers would be half empty if you cut down the packaging anyway, and that would take even longer to ship.

They should put 1 million cpus in one massive amd box same size as a container lol

I wonder who the worm is selling the 5900X purchased from Overclockers on an auction site that currently at £620 with 2 hours left

Not attempting to scalp (starting bid is the price I've bought the CPU for).

Why not just list it for RRP + fee costs buy it now? Clearly a scalper but doesnt want to admit it

I ordered my Ryzen 9 5900x on the day it came out and received the queue position shortly afterwards, and was happy to know that I was only 79th compared to whatever queue position I'm in for my 3080...

Got an email this week saying my queue position is 80th....

Are you serious right now Overclockers??? Looks like you're doing your job alright.... This is the last time I'm buying anything here. that.

Post 1 - "AMD Ryzen 9 5900X - £529.99 Inc VAT"
Actual website - "Pre-order £559.99"

This is like the 3000 GPU series all over again, even our retailers are scalping.

Greetings everyone. Anyone have any rough estimates to the queue size for the 5950X? I was hoping to have had one by now but they just don't show up anywhere or I'm too slow to catch it when it comes out. I don't like that OCUK charges £60 odd more than retail for no other reason than they can but at the very least they do offer pre-orders.

Just recently cancelled my 3080 pre-order because I'm now switching to the RX 6900XT (All red system for the first time ever) when that releases since the price difference isn't too far off what i would have paid for my 3080.

If you don't have a rough estimate that's fine, maybe someone can tell me their queue position and when they pre-ordered one? Every little bit on info helps. I'm hopeful that the 5950X isn't as popular as other CPUS simply because it's mostly just burning cash if you want it for games but I need it for my 3D rendering.

Thanks for the help!

5950x, I think you'll be waiting months, infact I doubt you'll get one this year now.

I think if they're not in stock and readily available to buy a month after launch then it can indeed be classed as a paper launch.
