I think it has been sent in error (we will see tomorrow) but considering that there is supposdely 300 units coming this week I shouldn't be receiving one yet. The only thing left in my order is the CPU (5900X) and the PSU (which will come into stock early next week). I wasn't expecting to get the CPU until Christmas week.

I ordered a GPU at the weekend, and its not been picked yet, although was in stock - can only guess things are running much more slowly than normal. was 200ish in the queue as of saturday... so I'm hoping this weekend might be build weekend. if it drifts into next week, I'll be a tad annoyed.

On Friday I was about 556th in the waiting list for the 5900X. I just received an email saying that my CPU have been shipped. Very unexpected so will see if it arrives tomorrow.

Very weird and interesting indeed. I wasn't expecting anything to be delivered until middle of next week (and that would be the PSU). CPU I haven't been expecting until about Christmas week or the week after...

It might mean the 300 have come in. From what I saw on the forum following the 200 shipment coming in, it looked like they started with the 200th person in the queue and worked downwards to the 1st person in the queue. So it might be people at around 300 are getting notifications now and it'll work its way down.

I could be completely wrong but that's what it looked like anyway

I doubt they would go down, as they may not know that all the packing is in good shape. Even if only 1% of cpus can’t be shipped, that’s still several customers you are going to have to **** off

Yeh I'm not sure why they go down either, but it's just what seemed to happen before. Everyone at like position 190 was getting notifications before people at 70 etc. People thought they had been missed and got an email later on.
It doesn't make much sense to me to go the other way round though, so idk why they do it (if they do it)

I was 511 in the queue and havent received an update yet... I'll post here when I do. Was not expecting to be in this 300 batch but was hoping for the next large batch in a week or two so a dispatch email would be a nice surprise but I'm still expecting later.

434 in the queue per the late Saturday (as opposed to Friday) email last week. I will also post as soon as I get a dispatched email.

So what should the price of the 5900x really be? I saw it for £510 on one store website. Obviously sold out but that's £50 cheaper than OCers is advertising it for.

Not sure if I'm supposed to order one now and queue or wait until the end of January in hopes it's cheaper.

Im in no big rush but I don't want to wait past the end of January.

£510 is def the cheaper end , saw the same this morning and managed to grab one at that price from their ebay store. Not holding my breath as managed to grab a 5950x from their retail store on monday when they said in stock but no updates and webchat said they were waiting for no stock. So think they are playing silly games with their inventory allocation.

Yes its all a bit up in arms at the moment. I will check their ebay store too though.
