Plenty of people have jobs where they can't respond even within 10 minutes to an alert. Or you're taking a shower, or walking the dog...

The fact is, it's still *incredibly* difficult to get hold of these chips. And will likely remain incredibly difficult well into 2021. (Or you join a queue that already has well over 1000 people ahead of you..)

And yeah, getting hold of a new GPU is just madness right now. Pure madness.

Honestly I have been checking almost hourly every day and yet to be able to pick up any from anywhere that is within at least £40 of the release price for one so yeah I would say they still pretty difficult to get ahold off tbh.
 
Don't panic, I'm ~50 and not heard either. I think for some reason when they have a shipment they start at the bottom and work up. So they got about 300 in and they start at position 300 and work down to 1 for some reason. I could be wrong but it seemed to be what happened with the 200 shipment
 
im waiting for snow to be used as an excuse for the mythical 300 5900x's not turning up. I've got more chance of sticking a unicorn in my new motherboard.

Sorry, I don't know the methodology used for OCUK's shipping.

Also as I had paid for next day shipping (Mon-Fri), I doubt that I will see it until Monday, unless OCUK are covering the extra cost due to the delay.

That's can't be correct, I am number 293 and heard nothing yet

I paid next as well, but it makes no sense to work backwards. If, for example, 10 go missing/are defective or any other reason they cant be sold, then that leaves the first 10 people in the queue getting shafted, when they should have been proritised.

Oh in that case then I have no idea haha! Just tried to spot a pattern I saw from the last shipment but it could be anything. I'm just guessing, I know as little as everyone else here haha.

Perhaps they sort out what is defective before they start shipping.

Has anyone ordered other components with their 5900x order? Maybe they are prioritising orders with other components? Or just 5900x only orders? Trying to figure out if there is some sort of pattern because I don't believe it's random or done in reverse...

Yes, a graphics card yesterday . Suspect that they have a lot to send out today. Which means working through the orders and mail lists post sending. Patience. Doesnt mean im not sat here checking my mail every 5 minutes mind... was 35 last week in the q
