RYZEN 5000 SERIES NOW ONLINE - 5950X, 5900X, 5800X & 5600X COMING NOV 5TH AT 5PM **NO COMPETITORS**

You'd think there is less "must have it now" for a CPU than a GPU normally, but I think a lot of people are waiting for these to finish off builds, so there could be quite a lot of day 1 demand.

Congrats on getting a 3080 :)

I think there will be, I've seen a lot of forum users say this (I'm one myself) and I can only think the forum will be a micro fraction of a percentage of OCUK overall sales.

If I count 40-50 forum users looking for day 1 purchase, times that by what? A lot? Then Gibbo's "thousands" of CPUs all of a sudden doesn't seem that much.

So the new Ryzen 7 is a couple of quid more than 10850K i just got. Less cores but faster in games?

Sounds about right, the real competition for the 10850/10900 is the ryzen 9 5900x. To be fair though if you just bought 10 series intel you probably aren't going to be lured away by 5000 series.

Nah, its well fast enough in fact overkill @ 4k, but i only upgrade every 4 or 5 years.

My 3 year old threadripper 1950x is still ample for literally every game I play @ 3440x1440 still has plenty of multi core / single core performance for where I need it and still all the cores I need for work. To give you an idea of my upgrade cycle I went from a Phenom 2 1090T to this threadripper and ill probably upgrade it in 12 months or so. So around the same upgrade cycle as you. Like my TR your CPU has a ton of life and a few gpu's left in it yet.

I'm still on a 2500k. Plays Warthunder fine. Upgraded to a GTX970 this year.
It's a beaut. I'll never have as good a CPU purchase again.

I know, it's like the world's gone upside down!

I think the initial demand could be high but, pretty sure Gibbo will have his ducks in a row and stock arriving regularly./
This did make me snort after the 3080 business ;)

Going to be the 17th all over again I expect, I know this time though I wont try to shop about and just keep hitting F5 on OC until its in my basket! 5900x or 5800x the reviews will probably decide this for me.
