RYZEN 5000 SERIES NOW ONLINE - 5950X, 5900X, 5800X & 5600X COMING NOV 5TH AT 5PM **NO COMPETITORS**

I'm debating either the 5900x or the 5950x. I have a 3090 on order so at this point I'm leaking money... so thinking of going all out and hoping this build will last longer than my usual 5-year upgrade schedule.

So let me get this straight - I can get a 3900X for £400, or a 5900X for £530. My maths may be a bit rusty but that's a lot more than the £50 gap AMD were talking about.

From what I was reading the 3900x was £475 I think I read when it was first released.

If people can't afford it don't get it. I can't afford certain things and I just accept it.

It doesn't though. PS4 had 8 cores, yet we know 6 cores has been great for games.
Yes,
but what your forgetting is
PS4 is Jaguar cores which are terrible at IPC/power 16 core Jaguar wouldn't not keep up with a 8 core zen

PS5/Xbox is Zen Vs PC Zen

although it will be slightly striped zen IPC will be close

Last gen tech always drops in price over time...to compare the 3900x and the 5900x pricing you look at the release pricing...

Hell when Zen 4 hits the 5900x will drop in price...

this is a very easy concept to grasp...
It's also an easy concept to grasp that people will focus on what's available at any one point in time when it comes to pragmatic comparisons.

I already said I appreciate your point, I'm sure you can grasp mine as well.
