RYZEN 7000 SERIES NOW AVAILABLE & IN STOCK !!

prices are insane, when this PC bites the dust i will just have a laptop and PS5

Literally being priced out the market, I could do it but can't even justify the prices for a decent PC to myself.

For those looking at upgrading... actually if you sit back and look at REAL gains you might be surprised.

I was digging around today for 4790k comparisons thinking none will exist, but they do. On paper obviously there are improvements, but in gaming it's not actually as fundamental as I thought it would be.

The main benefits moving platform for me are probably getting off PCIe 2.1 (on storage) as my NVMEs are running 50% speed.

If I could get my bloody MB Bios to flash I'd definitely be staying on AM4. Prices are just too much, I'd be looking at more than double the total cost to go to AM5 than just getting a 5700X/5800X and moving up to 32GB RAM.

To be honest I've not even looked at either team this time round due to prices being ****

That goes for GPU's too, Not the slightest bit interested in the 4000 series nor I feel the AMD 7000 with their pricing they are likely to be at.

I'll be sticking with my 5950x and 6800xt for a good long while.

Same CPU/GFX card here and I have the same opinion of this generation.

the average FPS is a bit misleading though. like you I previously thought the same until I actually upgraded my OCed 3770k for a 3700x.
on paper, the FPS between both should be similar, however the minimums/0.1%/1% FPS on the 3700x is much higher than on the 3770k, so the overall experience was vastly better on the 3700x as the gameplay is a much smoother experience

Do we think we'll see a price adjustment based on the raptor lake release?

I was kind of hoping on one, but can't see CPU prices moving as well as the motherboards?

Doubt it, AMD will just reallocate the dyes to Eypc where the real money is as Intel arn't even in the running in the server space

I think the 7700X has gone down a few quid since launch?
Waiting for my board to arrive before I finally decide but 7700X is in my basket at the moment so been looking at price.
