ok so its confirmed that the 13th gen is still king?

I mean this 7950X3D was suppose to annihilate the 13th gen

So whats the point, better off with a 13th gen 13900KS as its new and a beast AND cheaper

this 3% better and 500 points on "some" benches is pointless

no?

The 13900KS is newer??? What are you smoking.

Have you actually read anything or looked at any proper benchmarks or did you just do some creative writing assignment on the forum?

Performance is very similar in games, but the 900k consumes much more in games. So...

Of course the 3d was never going to annihiate the 900k in performance, that much was obvious, only fanboys suggested that.

i mean the KS is the newer of the 13th gen, 7950X3D is newer-er i know that

I been following this thread for 4 months now

The picture I got from a lot of comments was that the 7950X3D would be beast King, not a side kick like robin

Personally I was looking so forward to getting this on a new mobo and DDR5

I know there are people that are delighted and jubilant with their X3D but I expected more such as even a 5-10% increase on every game and bench

I think it's exactly the same issue as before; not enough info being passed around. Good explanations are not often around enough or buried under a mountain a lot of click bait.

Pretty much yes, they are all chasing the Google algorithm, facts or truth don't matter, only clicks.

AMD have explained it well enough, they have no excuse.

You’re not going to get that much performance increase. Intel will be releasing the refresh later in the year which will most likely be slightly higher clock speed and again no major upgrade from any of the top tier CPU’s. Not until 2024 will we get any major changes and even then who knows?

Oh got you. Yeah a lot of posts are full of hyperbole based on nothing but speculation and hopes and wishes. I personally didn't expect a HUGE gain but I know a lot did. Ultimately as someone who went on AM5 specifically with future upgrade path in mind, I am happy to have the option at least without investing in a new mobo etc etc.

"Max OC" benchmarking is a comparison of scratch-off (silicon) lottery tickets.

Fine "for science", but less useful for letting end users know which how hardware will perform for a wide range of end users.

Nice Matt, i see your using 2gb less vram, what else have you tweaked??? Great CPU score there though, what clocks and memory??
Here's the config I use. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCe...unity?lb=Ugkxt8h7I2LcMAQvynNc5iu7WPyNjJvuyOaV
Also why turn off e cores on Intel? Surely that’s going to hurt performance.
Did he post details of what settings he used in games, ie presets? I guarantee his AMD numbers will be bad.

It does but he tested ecores on adl with w10 and deemed them bad so sticking to his guns.
I can’t get my head around that to be honest. The only time I’ve seen it hurt performance was Star Citizen and now the developers are fixing it so I guarantee I will see better than when I had them off. Literally every other game I’ve played it increases performance.
