Will you be purchasing the 7800X3D on the 6th?

Do you think the 8 core X3D chiplet in the 7950X3D will overall on average be better binned than the 8 core chiplet in the 7800X3D?

I know the non-3D AMD chips the 7900X and 7950X have better binned 6 band 8 core chiplets than the 7600X and 7700X respectively just like on 5000 series.

Is same true for the X3D chiplet though given it is only one. Do you think AMD puts the best in the 7950X3D?? I would htink so given they are charging a lot more for it??

Yes, basing that off non X3D 7950X vs non X3D 7700X.

The 16 core parts get binned CCDs.

Yeah then given I have a 13900KS with e-cores disabled, might be worth trading it or selling it and getting a 7950X3D for the better binned 3D cache chip and not having to wait until April 6 for 7800X3D as I have a high value part to trader and not waste much money,

Though if I disable the non-3D cache CCD, does that mean I will not need game mode or special drivers and such and CPU will perform great for gaming as is the driver updates and game mode in BIOS only to enable Windows to differentiate between 3D cache CCD and non-3D cache CCD?? Or do the drivers and game mode do more than that meaning they are needed even for only the 3D cache chiplet enabled on 7950X3D or another words a better binned 7800X3D

Right.

AMD claimed +27% vs the 13900K in Horizon Zero Dawn.

TechSpot got +24%, its close enough.

AMD claim +24% for the 7800X3D, TechSpot claimed +33% (Simulated)

AMD
It’s a cherry picked game though. Overall it is not the case. It’s the way these things are advertised, to some people this will look like it’s that much faster than the 13900k. What it also doesn’t show us is how much slower it can be in other games.

They are picking games that they do well in. yes.

There are games that Intel likely is 50% slower with the 13900ks.
like path of exile that millions of people play.

Intel is such a bad buy.
real bad

I’ll tell you one thing, the results AMD posted won’t be wrong, but they certainly may use favourable games and or settings. And Intel and Nvidia do exactly the same.
The running theme here Matt is anything other than pro AMD is attacked. If anything is posted regarding the 7950x 3d for example Frame Chasers videos, which are very relevant to the topic in this thread, people start crying and throwing their arms around. The 13900k is also very relevant because it is the direct competitor, but once again people with AMD bed clothes and matching curtains refuse to see the facts. The main issue is the way it handles the parking of cores:

Yet this is brushed under the carpet.

You can’t have a discussion with someone that has worked for AMD for example and expect an unbiased opinion.

I don’t get this team thing and sides. They are company’s that we are handing our money over to, and I expect a certain level of quality. If something stinks, I don’t care whose arse it came from, it just plain stinks.

In all honesty I’m shocked at the sheer level of brand favouring going on in here. But it’s clearly been happening for years and years, I’m just only finding out about it now.

If you want some true entertainment, have a look in the GPU forum :D They even have a three strike rule in there.
