Goes to show what I said about the poll. 500+ orders has gone in against the processor vs 49 votes for buying one.
Not everyone buying is going to be a forum member, obviously.

Obviously yes, that is what my post said.
Indeed, polls like that are a bit pointless. OK for active forum members but only tells a small part of the story.
I went with the ASUS TUF GAMING X670E-PLUS WIFI, if you're gonna end up waiting, look at the MSI X670E MAG Tomahawk - looks to be the best budget-mid tier board with all the bells and whistles.
Yeah, I just said basically the poll isn't worth much because I would imagine the majority of people who buy aren't forum members as this is really only for enthusiasts.
@Brizzles I see you voted no and yet here you are
Guilty as charged
In my defence i've got a 7900x3d here still un-opened and was waiting for the reviews, it was too tempting.

Ah no way its just come in stock lol, I was looking for about a week and have the ASUS coming on Saturday, oh well!Thank you. They are both basically the same price and available. So, the MSI?
Is that the same board that wasn't available in the UK, only US and Germany?Ah no way its just come in stock lol, I was looking for about a week and have the ASUS coming on Saturday, oh well!
Comparing them, the MSI I'd say is slightly better, but they're much of a muchness. Both PCIE5 GPU + primary NVME (MSI has 1 extra PCIE slot but the extras are all slower), 4 total NVME slots, a few less USB ports on the MSI. Roughly the same audio, ethernet and wifi). You should be good either way I think!
Would certainly be a very good 'budget' build. An interesting config would be the 7800X3D paired with a A620 board. I can’t see much downside to this, unless I’m missing something?
Yep! I guess all I needed was patience. Looking at the specs I don't think I'm losing out by ASUS, so I think I should just stick with that?Is that the same board that wasn't available in the UK, only US and Germany?
No way! What are the odds? Well done on securing your 7800X3D dude. Nice one.Yep! I guess all I needed was patience. Looking at the specs I don't think I'm losing out by ASUS, so I think I should just stick with that?
