Will you be purchasing the 7800X3D on the 6th?

Indeed, polls like that are a bit pointless. OK for active forum members but only tells a small part of the story.

Yeah, I just said basically the poll isn't worth much because I would imagine the majority of people who buy aren't forum members as this is really only for enthusiasts.

@Brizzles I see you voted no and yet here you are :D

Sat with a 5950X at the moment and the gaming chops on this is tempting but the hit on MT performance means I think I'll hold off a full overhaul until next gen.

Guilty as charged :D

In my defence i've got a 7900x3d here still un-opened and was waiting for the reviews, it was too tempting.

An interesting config would be the 7800X3D paired with a A620 board. I can’t see much downside to this, unless I’m missing something?

Thank you. They are both basically the same price and available. So, the MSI?
Ah no way its just come in stock lol, I was looking for about a week and have the ASUS coming on Saturday, oh well! :D

Comparing them, the MSI I'd say is slightly better, but they're much of a muchness. Both PCIE5 GPU + primary NVME (MSI has 1 extra PCIE slot but the extras are all slower), 4 total NVME slots, a few less USB ports on the MSI. Roughly the same audio, ethernet and wifi). You should be good either way I think!

Is that the same board that wasn't available in the UK, only US and Germany?

Would certainly be a very good 'budget' build.

TBH none of the 650 / 670 boards offer anything great, mainstream PCI-5 usage is a way off for a lot of people.

I've bought a 650 board for my current build.

Go the GIGABYTE B650I AORUS ULTRA to pair with the 7800x3d, doing sff system. Waiting on ram prices to stabilize, as of now everything is in free fall.

I mean the 7950X3D is still the better CPU right, it's just that the 7800X3D is quite a bit cheaper?
I'm unsure whether to cancel my 7950X3D pre-order and put in a pre-order for a 7800X3D...
