Will you be purchasing the 7800X3D on the 6th?

This is too difficult. I currently have a 5600X/3080.

Trying to decide between upgrading to 5800x3d or 7800x3d as they both have a huge gain for Tarkov. Net upgrade cost would be about £800-850 for going AM5 (will sell old PC less graphics card), vs the £300 for a 5800x3d.

Is there a good source for seeing the gaming benchmarks for all 3 together? Anywhere I’ve looked I don’t see the 5600x still appearing and have to look in more than one place.

I don’t do well with choice

I would drop a 5800X3D in there if it was me.

tuned 5600x will be about 25% worse then 5800x3d and about 35% worse then 7800x3d depending the graphic card and settings/resolution the difference could be way smaller

The external box was well beaten up but everything inside seems intact.

Got mine here all safe and sound no box issues, it's installed along with windows! :)

I have a whole host of cable management left to do as right now I've done 0 but just wanted to make sure it all worked, but so far so good!

@Gibbo any stock in sight for today? :D

No more stock landing this week. Word from AMD/Distribution is stock might hit distribution end of this week, resulting in us getting next week, another distributor is saying stock into them end of next week, so with us the following week.

As such I'd estimate the next stock into OcUK around next Thursday/Friday for delivery to customers the following week. :)

I've never owned an AsRock board. How are they with regards to UEFI, returns etc? Basically, all the stuff you can't read in a spec sheet? :D
I am very sceptical of AsRock, I only get them if I doing a budget/cheap build. But they have been ok.

If I am going expensive then it would have to be MSI or Gigabyte.

BIOS lockups. In case this happens to anyone else, I actually found the fix on MSI's support page for BIOS updates and it must've been added recently. For some stupid reason, you have to download the BIOS using Microsoft Edge browser. I had this exact issue with my BIOS constantly freezing and only a hard shutdown was the option to move on and this was with the latest BIOS for my X670E Carbon. I downloaded BIOS again using Edge browser and all is fixed.

As @Tetras said, the higher end boards typically come with Intel, even though it is arguably the more troublesome ethernet controller. This spreadsheet contains a summary of all B650(E)/X670(E) motherboards and their features.

AM5 Motherboards - Google Sheets
so i guess the tuf gaming seems safe enough option? not sure if i lose out much on that say compared to the crosshair hero or gigabyte's aorus master which i was originally thinking of getting

OMG what a disappointment this upgrade turns out to be so far.
The main game (TLOU) stutters almost as much as on my 5800X, the board takes forever to boot up (although I didn't go through all the bios settings so there might be memory related setting that will speed it up) and the cpu fan whines now which it didn't on my previous system (switching it to DC mode reduces it slightly but I can still hear it drives me mad).
All that goodness for only £1000....
