You really have to ask that with their dodgy presentations that seem to be designed to confuse people? Not saying Intel is better fyi.Why exactly?

I’d love to know what they did to it to achieve such a poor score alsoCurious how they only managed 36k R23 from a stock 13900k. That's more interesting to me than their numbers.
thats nonsense. these tests show the cpu-limit which can be an indicator for future power, when gpu-limits move...If you game at 1080p with a 4090, doing 400 fps instead of 350 in a few games might sway you.
Pretty much what I think as well.I am perhaps a titch disappointed as as a new system buyer I was hoping for a true 'no brainer' decision. That said I don't really see a reason to go with a 13900K over the 7950X3D, and hopping on the AM5 platform gets me a cooler/more efficient system with an upgrade option 3 or 4 years down the road should I choose to do so (albeit for slightly higher initial platform price).

Only remaining decision is to with the 7950X3D or 7800X3D. I’m primarily a gamer have already bought the motherboard and ram so I’m ready to go but unless the 7950X3D gives a ccd MHz boost there’s not going to be much difference for gaming.
I do thats why i did. I dont know what was so confusing about there presentation, can you show me a slide that may of confused you? At what point do you think they over promised? I genuinely want to know as really curiousYou really have to ask that with their dodgy presentations that seem to be designed to confuse people? Not saying Intel is better fyi.
I have a 5800x3D so probably not going to see much a of difference in games. Although I’m thinking of playing Stellaris again which would no doubt get a large boost from the 7950x3D. Will take a look at prices and go from there. I’m expecting the prices of the 7950x3D on launch to be dire as well but will have to wait till launch day.Yes. If you can wait. I am tired of this 4790K/1080Ti and have decided I've waited long enough lol.
Will the 7900X 3D come last out of the three in gaming?
In terms of gaming benchmarks? It’s possible as it only has 6 cached cores but it does have another 6 non cached cores. If the cached cores get a MHz boost it may hold its own against the 7800X3D but we won’t know until all 3 CPUs are released. Will the 7900X 3D come last out of the three in gaming?
same here... need to get rid of my old 4770k.Yes. If you can wait. I am tired of this 4790K/1080Ti and have decided I've waited long enough lol.
the 6+6 variant coild still be a 8+4 instead...In terms of gaming benchmarks? It’s possible as it only has 6 cached cores but it does have another 6 non cached cores. If the cached cores get a MHz boost it may hold its own against the 7800X3D but we won’t know until all 3 CPUs are released.
Ah sorry, i thought based on your statement something in particular had stuc in your mind, didn't expect you to go back and re watch. Though the forum may of been able to help you out with your confusion taht was allSorry not invested enough to go back and watch the presentation again and then break it down
