Not sure what this XMP is Intel stuff is about, I'm running an XMP profile on my AMD system right now

I'm going to take what Gibbo is saying on board and get the best latency I can for probably 2666, maybe 3000 if there isnt too much of a price gap

XMP (Intel Xtreme Memory Profile) was originally setup by Intel, AMD had AMP. That's all it is.
It'll be up to mobo manufacturers what they offer, although we may see memory suppliers offering AMP profiles more tailored to AMDs IMC again now.

Just enter the timings and voltages manually - if this is beyond some then it's probably best to simply stick to 2400Mhz kits regardless

Pretty sure I've used XMP on my old Crosshair 990FX before, it just isn't called XMP.

D.O.C.P, then Profile #1 or something.

Hopefully the Crosshair VI is much the same.

christ on a bike i wish i knew what ur all on about with timings latency tightening loosening. im just going to buy 2 x 8gb 3000mhz corsair lpx stick it in and hope for the best

It will prob run at 2133 by default.

In short if filling all 4 DIMM's set your speed to 2400MHz and work up from there.

In our testing only the Crosshair board achieved 3000-3200MHz, the others were in the 2400-2666MHz range.

I would just try it and see, the worst that can happen is underclock it to 2400 mhz
