I love it!
So weighty and positive.

I tried it with no nuts to begin with but it was too low for me. Too much scope for mis-shifts.
2 nuts seems perfect.

And summer will give you a nice scold to the palmI had a chance to drive the car this morning with @kinger8938 shift knob. It's really nice. The additional weight makes the shift feel more positive and mechanical. I really like it.
I don't think anyone would want it for a track car or something like that though because it does slow the shifts down a tad, but I like that.
It's going to be fun if I drive it in the middle of winter though. I think gloves will be required to avoid hands getting frozen to shift knob.
Nice! Excuse my ignorance but how does one tell if such a job needs attention? Visual check or can you feel it?Reet. Next job on the S2000 organised. New engine and transmission mounts as mine are utterly shot.
Should be here during the week so I just need to hope for some decent weather so I can fit them.
I can feel it. When manoeuvring, if I say move the car in 1st, then disengage the clutch so that the revs drop to idle, the car shakes as the change in engine speed overwhelms the mounting rubbers.
I also have no evidence of them ever being changed and being 19 years old, they will be perished.
I'm going to do the ARB drop links front and rear at the same time. I can feel play in the front right so might as well do them all as they are so cheap.
How are you liking your exhaust @kinger8938 ? I'm very tempted to put one on my xmas list to santa.
This lacks any fart, which I don't mind but wouldn't mind a hint of itDeep is good. I like the volume of my modded exhaust but it's a little..... farty?
How did the master cylinder failing take out the clutch? If it fails, you just can't actuate the clutch. I can't see how it would damage the clutch.
Or are you talking about the slave cylinder? If that fails in a certain way it can take out the clutch release fork I guess.
