Now the season is underway I thought we should have a sack race thread.

Over to you, Arsenal fans. ;) :p

I really don't think Wenger will go now the season has started, but surprisingly many of his remaining supporters have turned on him. Ian Wright has always spoken fondly of him and has now asked for him to go, which I thought was quite surprising.

De Boer seems to be in the most immediate danger, not going well at all. Bilic too.

Wenger isn't going anywhere even if we end up in a relegation battle lol.

My money is on Bilic and De Boer going first.

Wenger will never be sacked in season. I would be surprised if he is ever "sacked". It will be like Fergie and he will go when he decides to retire.

Exactly so putting money on him to be sacked is a waste lol.

Hopefully after his 2 yrs are up, he will decide to leave. But I'll put money down that he will stay for another couple of seasons after this contract is up :p

I'm hearing lots of rumours today that De Boer has really ****** off a lot of people at Palace (Players & Staff), and Parish apparently thinks hiring him was one of the biggest mistakes he's made for the club...

Think he could go if the results keep going the way they're going...

Alternatively, I also read an article this morning that says that De Boer has given the board an ultimatum that they bring in 2 to 3 big signings by the end of the day, or he'll walk.

It's certainly interesting:-

Bilic - Recruited quite well but not seemingly able to motivate/organise
De Boer - He's also recruited quite well but if whats being said behind the scenes is true he could definately be a shoehorn for 1st.
Koeman - With the money they've invested Everton were talked about as a shoe in for the top four but they haven't in my opinion replaced any of Lukaku's goals so I wonder what will happen should they start to falter, an outsider I think but you never know if results start to turn.

Then there's Rafa who is apparently so ****** off at Newcastle's inability to sign anyone he wanted could actually walk out.

Wenger is not going anywhere. Only way he is getting sacked is if we end up relegated or close.

Voted De Boer - Rumours suggest the match against Burnley this weekend will be the final test. Makes sense, because we really should be winning against Burnley.

I've not been impressed, but I think I'd prefer him to stay and give him the benefit of the doubt - Again, rumours are saying that the potential new manager will be Roy Hodgson, and I really don't like him as a Manager :p

If De Boer isn't given time then whoever made the decision to appoint him in the first place needs shooting. You don't change from Sam Allardyce to Frank de Boer and expect a seamless transition - you will be hard pushed to find two managers with more different football philosophies and it was always going to take time for de Boer to turn things around.
