I thought someone(Charlie Nicholas I thnk) made a good point on Soccer Saturday today, that the Newcastle fans are bit harsh on Pardew because he is the only real outlet they have now as they have learned that it is futile to rage against Ashley. Sure, he isn't the best manager around, but he has put a decent squad together there and doesn't do too bad imo.

LMAO

Paul Lambert signed a new four-year contract yesterday, so presumably he's not a realistic candidate for the sack for a good while. I'd be amazed if he wasn't safe for the season tbh, even if our form drops off alarmingly from a sound start.

One had taken a team with no money to fourth in the premiership, the other took a pub team to win the pub league in norway. I think mine was the better gamble :D

How come Fulham offloaded so many players in the summer anyway? were they all at the end of their contracts? is their American owner just planning to run them into the ground so that Craven Cottage can be used by his future London NFL team? :p

No idea why we let so many go. A few I agree with, but Magath all but forced Hangeland, Stockdale and Sidwell out. They'd have been invaluable this season - and all wanted to stay. It seems a lot of staff left because of him, and he was just ruining everything to do with the club.

Good thing is, he can't knock down Craven Cottage legally so hopefully that's not his plan :p

Literally no idea to be fair, he's got the right intentions, trying to do everything he can - investment wise and promotional etc. However he knows nothing about football, and has been using Alistair Mackintosh's advise throughout which unfortunately seems to be ill-advised recently (he personally knew Magath). Mackintosh is very highly rated though (was at Man City until 2008 when he joined us). Soon find out though, if he appoints Pulis, I may well edit this post :p

At least he hasn't just come in and thrown money around, and we've ended up looking like idiots .. we already do with Mitroglou etc, but ACTUAL fees etc, and payment terms etc help that.

The issue was letting our best backroom staff walk, and allowing Magath so much control on literally everything leading to players, playing staff and even non-playing staff wanting out because of his methods. He must've destroyed the young kids in our team, mentally and physically.

Symons would be a good appointment, been very successful with our U21's (of which to be fair most of our first team is now) and he loves Fulham. Wouldn't mind giving him and Danny Murphy as Assistant a go.

To think people on here ear marked him for a couple of years at Cardiff then United manager.

That's exactly what I was about to say.
I can't believe that some football fans/supporters are willing to give a chance to someone who has is totally untested.

It is interesting to see LvG in 3rd place to get the sack this season.
