We are all petrified deep down that lvg will be given another season and that we will lose DDG and end up mid table. It's not an unrealistic fear either.

I had a dream last night that pretty much confirmed Mourinho will get the job...

I dreamt that Mourinho got the job as Utd manager, but he found out while looking at this old abandoned building in Oxfordshire that me and a friend were showing him round. So then he hired us as his assistants, and his first signing was Andy Cole and bringing him out of retirement. He never actually went to Old Trafford, just worked out of this building

Then David Moyes came asking for a job and I had to convince Mourinho that he'd be good for a job, just give him a chance.

Was crazy, but I'm pretty confident that's how it's likely to go down

The reality is, it's hard to say what's going on as there are so few leaks from the club. We need to wait for the European guys to get hold of the story. The majority are fairly confident it's essentially a done deal.

French journalists have rubbished the Sky Sports Mourinho-PSG story, so that's something.

You would hope that the decision has been made behind the scenes. Our rivals have already announced their managers and are making plans for next season.

Well to be fair IF Mourinho is a shoe in Mendes wont be far behind (as if he isn't - unofficially - powerful enough at OT already), so between them they will be plotting transfers anyway

I'm not too comfortable with Mendes being that powerful, but I guess beggers cant be choosers (and unfortunately right now Utd are beggers - for the right players)

Well if you believe the rumours it's done and United are already in possession of Mourinho's shopping list and are making waves at those players/clubs.

Nope, aid it earlier too he is my kind of manager except quirky but he is our quirky! Really though that injury list... And if the man does not win a trophy or league title he finds and brings through World Class players. Look at the history of Xavi (18) Iniesta (17) Muller all cut it under him. Now again low and behold Rashford Martial Fosu-Mensah coming through and he did ok with Shaw while he had him he was looking WC too! And then Schweinsteiger the man with the key to LVG's plan do yo guys not get what he is doing? You assemble the best young players about, Like the 9 year old mozarts and have them under a whiley old conductor (Schweinsteiger) but he has been gone for ages now along with Shaw. And Even Fergie agrees with me so nerr! :p

Also FYI Jose's shopping list!? Smalling and Blind is the best CB pairing in the league DDG is the best keeper in the league and Shaw is coming back not to mention Fosu-Mensah looks a beast solution to RB. Who is he buying considering Rashford and Martial play up front? Mata's stats show he was wrong to sell heck he can buy 3 midfield players and that is it hardly his kind of scenario is it?

Nice piece on Martinez failing. I'm worried that an fa cup might get him out of jail.

You've won 9 games this season, staggering. Having said that, i do think he should be given another season if he wins the FA Cup. Everton fans have got to ask themselves realistically what it achievable. It's a good squad you've got, but it's not a top 4 squad, lets be honest there. So, does it really matter if you come 8th or 14th with a good cup run. I think 75% of premiership clubs would be happy with that.

Failing that, Pellegrini's your man

Just read bobby has gone, YAY finally the moron has gone. Never had a clue, glad he's gone.

Everton Football Club regrets to announce that Roberto Martinez has left his position as First Team Manager with immediate effect.

The Chairman and the Board of Directors would like to place on record their thanks for the dedication and commitment Roberto has shown during his three seasons with the Club.

Roberto has been a great ambassador for the Club, conducting himself, at all times, with the utmost integrity and dignity.

He secured the Club its highest ever Premier League points total, a place in the last 16 of the Europa League and appearances in both domestic cup semi-finals.

He has also played a key role in the development of several young players, managing their progression to the Everton First Team and International honours.

Pardew to Everton? He's done a superb job at Palace in the second half of the season and I'm sure he'll want to capitalize on his good form by taking another huge job.

Bizarre timing - while its theoreticallly possible for them to drop a few places and therefore lose some EPL cash Norwich havent got anything to fight for and those around them have got just as tough matches if not tougher (liverpool and Man Utd for two of them), can anyone really make any difference to the squad's mentality in the next 3 days anyway?

Dead man walking for months, but between today and Monday would make zilch difference

Pardew played for Palace though (and relatively speaking his "home" club too) so not sure why , would the Billionaire investor in Everton recently make that much difference to AP, not entirely sure.
