Sacked for kicking the head off a snowman...

I misjudged the direction of a post you hadn't yet made? I can only apologise lol.

Such a lengthy tome that was that I wrote, you're right. Can I reimburse you for your time for that?

It would take all of 3 minutes to write the warning email I described, calling it a waste of resources and misspending of your own personal hard paid tax money is pretty ridiculous.
Ah yeah, you'll email the bin man. I recall they all get iPads and O365 accounts configured when they join. Good point. Only 3 minutes total effort. Such impactful leadership. A real turning point to help this chap see the errors of his ways.

Do you work for the council by any chance?

Are you serious? Post a letter then if he somehow doesn't have any electronic line of communication with his employer.

I don't work for the council.

You really think it's not in the interest of the council to uphold some basic standard of professionalism from their workers?

ITS A SNOWMAN! :p:p:p

I see your 3 minutes has now become an admin worker, postage stamp (+ expense claim) and associated HR time to get his address. This is assuming you know the bin man.

Ok well it's obvious our disagreement is just about whether you can act like a pillock while representing an organisation and that be completely fine just because no lasting property damage was done. It's about behaviour not criminality.

The admin worker you mention in your post was probably playing on their phone waiting for something to do anyway, and the fact you think the cost of a stamp would be handled via an expense claim is quite something.

Is this your view of a bin man?

I can genuinely put myself into the shoes of a chap who has 'attempted' to road house kick a snow man, yes. Once, I used to grab the vines of willow trees and swing too. I also 'carved out' a holly bush on the inside to make a den.

What is your point/ follow-on question?
So can I but it’s not what I asked you. Not quite sure why you’re waffling?!
But to further fuel your waffle in the hope of some more entertaining replies, did you do all those aforementioned things while at work or in your childhood free time?

I'm not sure. Is it not some form of vandalism? Something similar maybe not vandalism as that's usually permanent.

Yes I know it was going to melt anyway and not worth getting upset over but I'm not quite sure legally if it is criminal or not.

I wonder if the bin man would like it if I peed on his front door. No damage done the rain will take care of it.

people should be more worried about how obese that 3 year old child looks.

what do they feed him chicken dippers and chips every day?

he's probably fat for life now

not sure you can compare taking a slash on someones doorstep to booting a snowmans head off.

I imagine the person who made the decision to sack someone because they kicked the head off a snowman has absolutely no business being in a position to make those kinds of decisions.

You don't need to be particularly senior to tell an agency to send someone different next week

The point is to demonstrate that the issue isn't the presence or not of a 'lasting result'.
Hey, here's a real shock for you, did you know bin lorries don't have toilets, and sometimes they get caught short?

Guess where they ****?
