A friend of mine had that happen to him today. Order was placed yesterday for 9am delivery this morning. He had no phone call and the delivery never showed.
What happened when he asked them why they hadn't turned up?

2 more people from my office have received their orders, so they definitely arent cancelling them all.

was it blatantly obvious orders though?

i.e. 60 quids worth of booze for 17?

I've got mine booked for Friday, no calls as of yet

So what is the consensus of opinion then?
- wait and see?
- cancel?
I'm going with the wait and see.

I've got an order for saturday which cost ~30 with delivery, all booze. From what I've read on another forum it seems to be they only process it the day before/on the day that it is sent, depending what time it is delivered at, so if they call it will be tomorrow or friday

Well wait and see, I have an email confirming the price. Worst they can do is give me the choice of paying the full amount or cancelling the order. Best case scenario I get the stuff cheap.

There is a post on another forum which says

i just had my call. the woman said all orders are placed manually and there will not be any further mistakes. all orders are being checked tonight and tomorrow

I understand what you are saying but if it is true that they knew about this last week then it isn't right surely that the vouchers still worked.

Saying that the have honoured some orders, can they get away with hounouring some but not others?

Yes, it's entirely at their discretion. That's how I understand it anyway.

Anyone fancy emailing the beeb?
What, saying "hi, erm, right - I knew these vouchers weren't really for me and I was being a cheeky so-and-so, and I'd read the T&Cs on the site which clearly stated how vouchers were to be used - but lol i saw it on da net so can i have my money back? lol companies suck"

Yeah, whatever.

man, I wish i'd just ordered for earlier in the week......... seems like all the later orders are going to get cancelled after all :(

Beansprout slightly OT but as your a plymouth uni folk do you have any idea about the issues going on with the portal at the moment and how long this sort of problem takes to fix? :)

You're in the wrong. You knew you were in the wrong when you placed the orders. You have no one to blame but yourself.

*av

I'm in the wrong? Hardly. You're analogy is a poor one and you know it. No one to blame? Am I in trouble? Hardly.

Say for instance I had genuinely acquired the vouchers, and thought to myself, "hmm, I've spent £60, I wonder if these compensatory vouchers accumulate" so I continue to enter codes finding to my amazement that they do! Surely then this must mean that it's a legitimate practice? I have no reason to think otherwise as surely there would be a system in place to prevent it. As for free use or "stealing" (as you would have it) of vouchers, well that's a schoolboy error on their part, they should be issuing e-vouchers linked to accounts instead of allowing any old joe to distribute and use them freely.
