Saints Row: The Third

And they didnt make it in house they got some other unknown dev team to do the pc version. I suspect they will do the same with sr3 and probably fk it up like they did with sr2.

Nope, they are doing the pc version in-house this time. They've admitted that outsourcing SR2 pc port was a mistake.

Looking forward to this. It looks crazier than ever :)

Might be in-house this time but will it be 100% in-house or still outsource some of it which they will later use as an escape goat. Also as stated their is bad pop in and fps issues in the gameplay trailer which from past experience i wouldn't touch with a 10 foot bargepole till its fixed. As even tho it was outsourced the sr2 game they still could have patched it to fix the fps issues which majority of the players had as it was running faster than it should due to some console tick code and driving was uncontrollable as well, but they didn't do squat to fix it.

Saints Row 2 was ten times better on the Xbox. I will be buying the third on the same platform, and I can't wait! :D

If it's just MORE of the same, I will be happy.

I think most people will agree SR2 pc version was a bit a trainwreck (myself included). Best thing to do is just wait it out and see what people say about this new one after release. Can't get burnt that way ;)

Not familiar with pre-order bonus stuff, so is Professor Genki's Hyper Ordinary Pack integrated to early run of DVD's or an extra mod? So in theory it could be added to a vanilla version of the game in a few months.

Looks like a lot of mindless fun :)

Never really played the previous two mainly due to rather rubbish gfx engine and apparently terrible PC ports, however I’ve seen couple of vids showing SR3 PC gameplay and seems to run fine; so for me it should fill the gap till GTAV arrives...

Looking forward to this.

The GTA series take themselves too seriously nowadays. Saints Row looks a hoot. Recently began playing through SR2 on the PC and enjoying it very much.

Not sure why, but I get a sense of Just Cause 2 when looking at SR3... JC2 was amazing in my book though so we shall see, I would be surprised if SR3 has the same "mammoth" feeling game world.

I do get the impression though that the PC version will maybe not get the attention from the devs it deserves, unlike JC2 which was awesome.

As long as they got the driving sorted out I'll be happy, enjoyed the previous two but the driving was always dreadful.

IMO the driving in the first one was good, the one in the second... abysmal. No suspension or body swing to speak of, the cars didn't flow over the road at all. It was just stop or go with no momentum to speak of.

I've got this on pre-order, looks like a bit of fun, probably won't get touched for a few months while I play Skyrim though. :)
