Saints Row: The Third

Anyone know the best place to pre-order this from? ie cheapest :) I don't care about case etc for this one, so a cheap cdkey download would be OK as well.

Cheers

Just "heard" (wasn't looking sadly) a trailer for this and heard what I though was Burt Reynolds. Not Burt Reynolds playing a character but actually Burt Reynolds! As himself!!! If this is true I am sooo buying this.

Still aint available on steam in our region, or so it keeps telling me..so cant even pre-order or pre-load :(

It's steamworks, so just get it from game, amazon, shopto etc. You could install it then snap the dvd over your knee, open your window and see how far you can frisbee it, or tape the box to your foot then march off to the shop to spend the money you saved on beer.

Great, spoilt for choice of where to shop and keep my collection neat and organised (if it's posible to have game cataloguing OCD).

Well in an old job I used to use the cd's sent along with press releases we didn't use as coasters. Then again the Mrs has been wanting to spruce up the garden with some useless crap hanging in the now leafless trees.

I actually did a pre-order from Tesco for the xbox (for son) and PC version. Seeing as they gave me Skyrim a day early I think they will be OK. £28 for the Genki LE. Did look around but price was OK for the PC.

if this is a good port im in!....but as said above i got sr2 for pc and it spent all of its life crashing and being generally unplayable

Is the Professor Genki pack DLC worth £6?

Can get a vanilla steam key from a reputable etailer for £22.85 which seems a bargain.

The pop in im worried about and the stutter i saw in some of the youtube vids showing the gameplay off before any proper gameplay vids were out i.e the dev gameplay one.

Also the unrealistic handling of the cars i.e press left and its like sharp 90degree turn instantly instead of what you would expect in any game with a car in which would be slower turning properly.

In 1 and 2 the handling was fine in cars, I doubt on final release they would break what they had going. Mind you that was xbox versions, also Saints Row is meant to be unrealistic and a laugh.

They have reworked the handling of vehicles, but it's still not the bouncy castles on ice of GTA. I understand that the way the cars feel in GTA could be preferable, even if it's a case of the devil you know. But it's "improved" over SR and SR2.

Is the Genki edition worth 6 squids? I think so, but it is just a weapon, clothes, vehicle pack. If it's between you getting it or not, just get the cheap version. I can't pass up the carmageddon-esque pedestrian launcher.
