As a Palace fan, after sticking by him over a long spell of poor results, I'd be hacked off if he got the job.
Supposedly there's still more to come from the Telegraph on Allardyce + others.

Shows his arrogance. He was always overly arrogant and I would guess since he got the England job it's got worse, he obviously believed he was safe from anything for the forseeable future - you'd have to be a blathering idiot to get caught out like this, any sensible person would have got out of there as soon as the discussions turned into anything resembling a grey area.
Should never have been hired in the first place and I can't see how he can keep his job. The FA are going to be extremely red faced over this.

I'd guess the reason why he didn't was because this sort of meeting and discussion wasn't new to him. As has been mentioned already, he was caught up in a Panorama sting a few years back where it was alleged that he was taking payments to sign players for Bolton.
Klopp said on MNF that his tactics are only as good as the players carrying them out, any manager who tries to get us playing good technical football is doomed to fail.
After last season I'd honestly give Neil Warnock a try, Rotherham United looked relegation certs back end of last season until he came in and made them the form team in The Championship within the space of a few games. They've gone back to being **** again this season under a new manager who is trying to out-football teams with better players.
We just need someone to galvanise the team and dig out results no matter how ugly, nobody cares how poor Portugal played in the Euros they're Champions that's all that matters.

100% agreed, he simply has to go, he can't say what he did about circumventing rules of third party owenership and stay on, he's damaged goods now and needs sacking.
Wouldn't be shocked. There appears to be a rotten element of older British managers.
thata video alone is enough to get rid of him with no compo. I am sure they let Venables go for a lot less than this back in the day.

Because they couldn't have just.... not hired him in the first place. It's one game into his time as manager, it's unlikely that would want to get rid of him now anyway. Then you have that this investigation has been going on for 10 months and Allardyce was hired well after this investigation started.
