Samsung Galaxy S... highest spec Android phone released... also with QWERTY!

I have followed this guide but when I restart the phone I get the short tone and swirling S but then phone just sits there with a black screen and every few seconds just vibrates, I am upgrading from 2.1 XXJF3

Any help?

Before you do anything else. Can you get into recovery? Does it say 3e at the top? Did you try factory reset, cache clear and reformat SD after it hang?

See if this fixes it >

Seen that error fixed with a mid level eclair, worth a try. Flash JM8 > http://www.multiupload.com/FCYKST8QBO

Password = samfirmware.com

This time flash Odin with PIT 512 selected along with PDA, CSC and Modem etc, repartition & reboot enabled. If it does respond reflash JPO over without touching repartition.

depends how long you've had it. 28/14 days depending on operator = straight like for like swap. Anything else - off to samsung. There's a thread on xda about getting it back iirc.

Okay, got a Galaxy S and have clockwork recovery installed. But the only flashable ROMs seem to be experimental ones.

Where are the modified stock ROMs?

Had to put my Phone in for repair with the carphone warehouse as the speaker quality had become awful, they have had it for 2 weeks now I don't know what the hell is going on with it. Tried to track it with there website and it says the tracking n0 doesn't exist.

EDIT

Got this today in mail, yay

I get 2-3 days out of JPO. I always have 3G off unless I need it, same with WiFi etc (using switchpro on the homescreen). Works very well, the main battery killer is always the screen by a long way. That and cell standby as I'm often deep in a building cut into a hill and so out of range.
