Samsung Galaxy S24 Family Thread

Only gripe is they give you a blanket trade-in discount regardless of storage size. £370 only, I got well over £400 trade in for the 22 Ultra last year! Thankfully the higher cashback awards make up for it I guess.

Edit*
TCB email came in confirming the cashback now.
Hi mkr - sorry for the random late response - did TCB pay out in the end given you used the birthday code?

It shows as "claimed" on my TCB:

Has anyone else had GPS issues with there S24 when using google maps

Both mine and the wifes kept losing GPS signal and didnt even know how fast we were going.

Yet my old S20 that we gave the lad worked fine.

My friend had that on his S24+, they swapped it for another handset and same issue.

In the end they just gave him a refund. Got S24 Ultra after and no problems, not sure if some Exynos/modem issue as few threads popping up online about GPS problems for lower models but not the Ultra.

W00t. I got my £200 cashback from Samsung. That officially brings the total cost of my S24 Ultra to £490 :D

The £135 cashback on Quidco still shows as tracked, but I assign a very small chance that they will approve that.
How long did you have to wait from claim acceptance to payout from samsung claim site?

Not specifically S24 related but Samsung related, Samsung Pay+ (The Curve Pay+ card) has in recent times been downgraded to the point it seems you have a £1000 spend limit per year, and as I'm at over £900 over the last 365 days, I can't buy anything using the Pay+ card via Samsung Pay as it hits the £1k per year limit.

That's very annoying, I don't recall a yearly limit from before, only a daily £500 spend limit...

I bank with Barclays and Amex and whilst Amex woks fine on Samsung Pay without the Curve card frontend, Barclays debit cards can only be added to Samsung Pay via the Pay+ Curve system which supports it, not Samsung Pay itself.

So I think I will cancel the Pay+ card and just use Google Pay exclusively now.

Damn. Was hoping the cashback would work. Would have dropped to £355

As it is once my £200 samsung cash back drops it will have worked £490 which is superb anyway :D

Can confirm Quidco paid out and I have withdrawn the funds. The S24 Ultra officially cost me £355 :D

I think I'll be looking for a used s23u.
Which probably won't be any cheaper than you guys s24u new!

Hoping for some good black friday deals. I can probably hold out until Christmas sales too.

The deal you got is quite incredible

Hi mrk

I've got a standard Samsung Pay+ card and the spending limits are showing as £150,000 for the Last 30 day window & £1,400,000 for the Last 365 day window - did Curve inform you the limits were changing?

Nope I just got my renweal card through recently and more recent purchases were declined due to reaching the spending limit apparently which I've never seen before:

That's odd, those numbers match up to what Curve list for new customers who haven't verified their identity. Just checked mine, and they're similar to screaming.dead.

I can only assume it's because of new card(?). I should be due my replacement card in a couple months I think.
