Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Honeycomb Tablet

Why does the UK always seem to be behind with everything?

:( I was all geared up to get one of these, but if we are getting a second rate version I won't bother.

Mr. Samsung: "What are we going to do with all these obsolete tablets?"

Employee: "Sell em in the UK with a big markup?"

Mr. Samsung: "Winning!"

I've been looking at these 10.1's and been trying to decide:

What do you actually do with them? :)

As with all these tablet incarnations, nothing that a standard 200 sheet netbook can't already do a lot faster and for more than half the cost.

However they have been around now for few years and are now where near as shiny and don't have a fashionable touchscreen.

My girlfriend might be going to America in June/July... might ask her to get me one if Samsung don't release it in the UK.

Would warranty cause an issue?

The UK TAB has an EU warranty. Looking around the UK site it looks like they only have an international warranty on notebooks. So it could well be a problem. You’re best off asking Samsung support.

Argh. I really don't want to get an iPad 2 - I hate iTunes, I want Flash, I don't want to be locked down, and (less importantly) I was looking to keep up my streak of never owning an Apple product. But all the Android tablet makers seem to be doing their hardest to push me on to iOS. Why Samsung? Why can't we have your lovely product?
