Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Honeycomb Tablet

What a mess! No SD card slot and Touchwiz!! I thought Honeycomb was meant to do away with fragmentation which makes android phones useless? Why are they letting Samsung put Touchwiz on the tablet? Honeycomb has only been out a few months and it's already fragmented! The Xoom is running 3.1 and this device will have to wait for it. What happens in 6 months time? Will some devices be on 3.2, some on 3.1 and some still on 3.0 when Samsung release a new one and don't update the older versions just like the phones?

It's a shame as I was looking forward to android tablets as they promised no messing with the interface and effectively the end of fragmentation but it's happening already and this tablet means you will again be at the mercy of samsung waiting for them to update and release the new OS updates whenever google release them.

Why not make Touchwiz optional so you can update directly from google when new versions are released? Such a disappointment as it's a nice looking tablet hardware wise :(

I have no idea either, HC looks pretty damn sweet as it comes on the Tablets.

This reminds me of the old days where you would have Orange firmware on phones and they offered bugger all and where generally more buggy.

If Samsung make the device, why do they bother to make such an effort to bugger it up with their own version of the UI?..it doesn't add anything and only causes battery problems as far as I can tell.

Was thinking of the possibility of selling my iPad for this, mostly I just want faster browsing and a better screen, plus getting used to the Droid way of things.
