Finally got my hands on my tab, and had to send it back.

It had an oily mark under the screen, but mine was about 4-5x the size of the one shown here;

Looks like apple have been slightly naughty boys by submitting faked evidence to make the galaxy tab 10.1 look like the iPad 2.

Three months down the line and I’m still in love with the thing. I can’t see myself using anything much thicker or heavier. It does what I want it to do. I’ve left it in its original unlocked I/O state as I’m quite happy with “pure” Android.

I was going to flash TouchWiz but I have been informed that TW will be coming for the I/O Tabs shortly. Optimsed tablet apps are still fairy thin on the gorund. There is a thread about them.

It does get used every day and that has to be a consideration when make your mind up. You sound very undecided. Over to you.

if it had an sd slot i would have purchased it, found myself playing for 30mins in a shop, i want to stick all my music and movies on and would need the 64 or make do with the 32gig version. which pushes the price up..

i think i should go and have another play, trouble is my wife is in Uganda at the min and i already spent this week 1k on a new mattress as my back was playing up... think she will freak out if i have a shiny tab 10.1 too

Guys - How are you copying MKV files to the tab ? I currently find that any file larger than 1.5GB when copied through latest Kies and USB connection just does takes forever and eventully times out.

Purple Shirts, rainforest always have them in stock. I walked into oxford st and got mine last week. The 16GB's WIFI were never officially blocked as that stock was already in the UK, Everything after the EU Court blocking order is probably lying in a container or warehouse somewhere waiting for the block to be lifted

I have Samsung dock keyboard and HDMI cable that seem really good when I plug the cable to my Samsung 46" LED TV... and Im waiting for the USB adapter for using SD card. The keyboard dock is all white and easy to put the tablet into also I have the desktop dock which is charge the battery very easily... Im still using 16GB Samsung GT 10.1 with update new look software but still at 3.1 - just change the look with new taskbar,etc.. - download was 188mb - the first one was black background but now change to bright background and new clock fonts (quite big than the old one) - look nice improvment and the 3.2 is coming soon for the SGT

usb adapter kit

hi, just got the usb connection kit today, really good and solid, a much better alternative than having to connect to kies and use the usb cable, just tried playing back a 2gb mkv HD BD rip, very happy with quality

Hey guys, after originally deciding on an Asus Transformer, i find myself being more and more attracted to this rather sexy device.

Can anyone confirm whether the USB connector is able to connect to an SD card reader and successfully read/transfer the files?

I agree, who would honestly notice a micro SD card slot "spoiling" the sleek look? Stick it on the bottom by the charging point ffs.
