Well, i've spent 2 days with this tablet now, and I am completely in love with it, in the same way I was in love with my SGS II when I first got it. The screen, despite the mild discolouration on grey backgrounds on the bottom 30% or so, is magnificent. It's like the SGS II but twice as big with twice the resolution... and colours, videos, webpages, text etc all look sublime. It is imo uniquely amazing in the tablet world.
Sound is average, both stereo speakers are at the bottom of the unit when held in portrait mode, and are average loudness. For the slimness of the device, they are as you would expect. Not overly meaty, but not tinny either.
Battery life is phenomenal... I went through a long day of sporadic fiddling and browsing on 3G today, email and Facebook syncing regularly, and its still on 33% 14 hours later. Yesterday, I abused in on Wi-Fi only for a whole day and still had around 20-30% to spare. With "normal" usage, it should last 2 days before a charge. Used very sparingly with power conservation in mind, maybe a week or so.
Software-wise, Honeycomb is Honeycomb... no matter the processor it lags with default TW, and even an eensy a bit even with another launcher installed. C'est la vie, and ICS should fix this. Either way it's not to bad at all, and I like the default email app as well as all the other cool tablet optimised apps you can find. It really enhances the Android experience.
I have a 32GB MicroSD card coming next week, and will buy a case and screen protector for it as soon as I see one I like.
All in all I am so glad I made this purchase, it's awesome, simply awesome.
Oh, and one more thing... 7.7" is imo the PERFECT size for a tablet, and really does make a difference over 7" in everyday use when browsing and reading. Still fits in my coat pocket too, try that with a 10-incher.
