Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 Tablet

I had quick question,

If I ordered from hongkong retailer does Samsung still honor the warranty in the UK? When I asked Samsung directly they told me no, but I dont think the person really know what they were on about. I don't want to pay £360 and find that in 2 weeks it has a fault and that is it.

I am thinking its better I pay extra £150 but get peace of mind.:(

searched previously and nothing conclusive on this matter. I asked previously and only found reference to someone on another forum who did this successfully, but that does not answer my question, I want to know if anyone has confirmation from Samsung because they inquire about this matter? or have personally used this warranty service on a foreign based device, one person is not enough statistical evidence. I know Sony and apple have international warranty on some of their product for the first year only.

4th post down when searching the thread for "warranty". Someone from Avforums successfully used their warranty for their HK tablet in the UK http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?p=21949837&highlight=warranty#post21949837 :)

it was in reference to a question i had asked and if you read my reply earlier on, the one you quoted in this page, then you can see that i just wanted more evidence. Because Samsung UK were telling me something different.

Samsung UK were talking about their Samsung warrenty I posted about the ******* warrenty, I'll pay £30 extra for UK peace of mind but shops charging £600 is taking the peeee and I doubt any UK vendor is more ethical than an Asian, small UK vendors know the price of the goods they sell and are fully aware of how much they take the peeee they are laughing all the way back to their mansion in their big German car.

Again on another forum someone got their HK sourced 7.7 warranty taken care of by Sammy.

Ah so my youngest will learn the joys of Kies after school tonight, great news as they love ICS+ on my Note and this up date will be like them getting a new tab, they'll be jealous of my JB GN7 when it gets here though :D

Save yourself time and download the ics rom and flash it using mobile odin with everoot. 20 minutes tops and all the apps and setting are still there.

If I root their 7.7s I'll do it after they get ICS and do it off a msd card, it's even quicker and easier that way iirc, I don't trust their judgment re the uses they may put su status to, they're only 11 and 13 ;)
