manoz: On O2 around 13th august. But looks expensive on contract

So, i've had it off charge for 4 hours.. parlingo has been on and i had a conversation for about 15 mins on msn. I just made a 70 minute phone call. And i had wifi on for about 20 minutes while i was trying to sync to gmail.

Battery is now at 67%

Sorry its not a very good test, but some work stuff got in the way :P

EDIT: that 67% is in system monitor, but the battery symbol at the top looks like its 90%. Not sure wtf is going on

the comments are regarding li-ion batteries in general though

oh right, I didn't get that from the voda forums.

From this thread I gathered the battery problems were down to Android being always connected, and that if you used something like wisync you could get much better life out of it.

The main thing seems to be that when you first get your phone, charge it often to keep it "topped up" and that performance should improve over the 1st couple of weeks - don't let it discharge fully during this period, as that's bad for the battery.

two different problems, most android phones are suffering with a lot of things being on by default, but these terrible cases are probably a result of not treating the battery well, this comes as news to me because I've always stuck as well as I can to the run it almost empty and charge it completely full to prolong my battery life
