I cant decide now between the Samsung i8510 INNOV8 and the Omnia. 
Samsung sneaks out snazzy 3G iPhone rival... the Omnia.

Have an N82 at the mo and its feeling dated
End september I could be getting a new phone. I dont know whether to jump on the whole touch screen phone lark or not.
It will surely drive me mad trying to txt I think

Quite true, I still dont think I could get used to a touch screen phone. At first it might seem new and fun but once the honey moon period has worn off I have a feeling that I would want a 'normal' style phone with a key pad.
I've really decided against this phone now... I feel the screen resolution is just too low for a screen of this size, and the lack of 30fps VGA recording is really putting me off... I use that a lot on my N82.
Close... but no cigar for me.

Looks like ill be heading towards the i8510.

Why do iphone users feel the need to come in here and continuously say 'its not as good as my iphone'? If I wanted an iphone I'd get one, clearly people looking at this phone don't want an iphone.
No touch screen though.
Just what I was thinking... quite sad really. And thats without getting into the iPhones lack of features that are now standard on most phones. Fanboyism I guess.

That's my thoughts too.
It's no novelty... it's been in use on PDA phones for years. Makes browsing/navigating etc a hell of a lot simpler.
Although you have to admit some of the first PDAs to have phone functions were terrible. I had the second model of XDA O2 did (IIRC) and it was a dog. Battery life was terrible, it crashed every 1 in 10 calls and windows mobile (pocketpc still back then IIRC) was just terrible.
Not a iphone fanboy post by the way - I plan to get the omnia - its just that the first touch-phones were terrible.
