All I can say is I hope its better than the Samsung F490 cause that thing is a dog; girl friend got one and think she regrets it check it out HERE
if you get a phone direct (not from a shop) you have 7 days to send it back and change your mind. .

Both models are available to buy SIM free now.
Lets face it no one in here is a big enough mug to throw "sim-free" kinda £££'s at a phone. All I want to know is when is it out in the UK on 02.......now please!
Well it all depends whether you want to be locked into a contract or not! I bought my N82 SIM-free and it worked out the same price as a contract when I added it all up, with the added bonus I wasn't tied into anything.

^those are voda and orange contracts with the phone
Nice. Seems quite good - for a Vodafone customer anyway? Their (official) website doesn't have it up yet but sometimes you have to call for new models…http://www.phones4u.co.uk/shop/shop_contract_details.asp?ItemKey=214832&ppc=true

Now I'll just have to wait for someone else to take the plunge and give us a 'real -life' review
I noticed on one of those sites that it says if you get the 8 GB version you can always upgrade to 16 GB later with a flash card – is that right? And if so, will it be the same speed etc as the onboard stuff?
Cheers,
SW.
the more i see this phone the more i want it over the iphone.
does any one know how it compares battery life with iphone? also, how do you think the typing will compare?
also you see this clips showing it playing divx? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FeE4xPB6cEY&feature=related
with a tv out this is a brilliant feature!
yeah it is divx enabledfirst wm phone of its type...
and
battery is amazing...most reviewers cant believe how good it is, a lot better than the iphone as it has a 1440mAh battery...it would easily last a whole day with intensive use
any idea on the typing?
I think i may just get one sim free to use with o2 on there £20/month, 600 mins, 1000 texts, unlimited data.
Getting more and more appealing. Iphone contract = £810 over 18 months.
Omnia = £400 + 20*18 = £760 over 18.
edit: and im not sure if theyre still offering unlimited internet...i believe they are
Noipe, they arnt. It was a one month long thing only from what ive been hearing.
Just got off the phone to Vodafone. They've got a September the 1st date for the Omnia's releasejust spoke to orange, they said they estimate the end of this month (ie 2 weeks time)
she couldnt tell me how phones4u said they were getting them in 5 days.....
I bet this phone will still cost a fortune on contract
