I'd still rate Samsung below the likes of Panasonic and Sony for camera. (I'm not particularly knowledgeable about photography though)

Your right Samsung's Camera Division isn't up there with the best of them, but they do offered some good mirrorless camera's atm.

Maybe things will change in the future if they pump enough money into R&D & advertising, like they do with their current Smartphone's .

I've owned/own three tablets and a smartphone and they've all been very good products. I guess some of the people posting have never owned a Samsung product or are the usual blinkered fanboys one gets in these threads.

This thread is hilarious.

We have people discussing the brand topic then others harping on about how they own 19 Samsung appliances and how they are great, thus premium. 2 completely different topics; Samsung as a brand and Samsung product opinions/reviews.

In terms of tvs there are still premium brands out there (b&o, Lowe) but they just don't have the performance of some other mid range sets (panny, Samsung). Then you have the value brands (supermarket specific, alba etc)

Oh and as had already been mentioned..... You Don't own LED tvs, they are LCD sets!!!!!!! (Admires the Kuro in the living room, IMO the last true high end tv brand with quality to match)!

Samsung make good tvs imo. Hate Sony tvs. And don't get me started on B&O piece of crap all show no go.

Though thinking about it my laptop and phone are Samsung! LOL! I don't have a sammy tv at the moment though.

All the top brands are much of a muchness now really it's down to price and features and UI ultimately hence why I don't really get on with apple. Good products but they just don't appeal to me.

LG make most panels for TV don't they?

Samsung appeal to girls for a lot of stuff. Their TVs are ok but their phones are aimed at girls and they will never beat apple at that.

I know more women with apple products than samsung products - I personally think samsung appeal to men more than women? Hard for you to tell though - you're not quite alpha enough
