Ok couple of questions... What script is everyone using for calendar? I got one off the site but it won't work!

Does anyone have a script to display football results?

How do you make it display your network & external IP?

How do you make it show your FSB and processor multiplier and processor name?

i was getting that same error for ages until i opened the temp file that the script wrote in internet explorer, it came up with a page with a link to the new page, copied the url instead into samurize and it worked!

I got the news reports working too now!

. You got any idea how you can make the brief news descriptions split on to 2 or more lines instead of just 1. It wont fit in with how I want it to look!

Right, Ill try to answer a few of those questions,

The calendar script Im using is acalender.vbs. What exactly isnt working for you?

A script for football results...hmmm havent heard of one of these, im pretty sure there is a Premiership table script, but I dont know about results, although one of the VBScript experts could probably knock one up in a few minutes

Ok, to display your ExternalIP, there is a script called ExternalIP.vbs which works well. For your internal IP, ExtendedProps 1.4a should do this

There are loads of options what to display, one of them is your internal IP, there are also options in there to display your FSB etc.

Also I might add that Coolmon has a Premiership script, so if anyone wants to have a go at modifying that then it might make it easier.

also, certain things wont work in extendedprops.vbs

Get this error

"The remote server machine does not exist or is unavailable: 'GetObject' "

Well I think you have the problem I had. Edit the config file in the editor and click on the local IP box. Then click 'change parameters' and Change the first Parameter that appears to the name of your Computer. The reason it is not working is because it is still set to the name of the computer of the bloke that made it (AMD XP) I think. If this works change it for the other options too. Should work, thats what I did. Let me know.

only the local ip dont work

i put the NIC as 0 and its blank, i put the NIC as a number (have tried 1-5) and i get some error about not being able 2 turn summit into a string

i got 2 NICs, that y? 1 of them is disabled at the mo tho cos i ent at my flat with cable, am at parents with ADSL (usb)

Cool, glad you got most working, well I am not sure bout your local IP then, my NIC is set to 1 but I only have the 1 card in me system. I dont see why having 2 would make a difference but it seems that must be it! I will look into it some more tomorrow (bed time

) and if I work it out I will post here.

I've been trying to knock up a couple of improved tv and news scripts and think I've got something useable now and people are welcome to look at if someone wants to host them.

Would anybody be interested in a tv script which pulls an xml file from ananova (just about every channel under the sun) it also grabs a whole day (or multiple days) info meaning you don't need to connect to the net every time you update.

The second script is the BBC news script - only it uses their RSS feed and wont go belly up if they change their layout.

I like to think mine is coming along nicely.... Still some work to do on colours etc, but I like.... :cool:

Does anyone know how I can get rid of the My Bluetooth Places icon? as it is there looking ugly and right click wont let me change the icon or icon name, I can't delete it either

well my work one now after playing with it a bit, well i like it

since its at work dropped the tv script..

and i can host scripts for anyone if they want, just drop me a mail
